Tenacious D Share Second Episode Of “Post-Apocalypto” Series & New Song “Making Love”

Tenacious D To Release New Album “Post-Apocalypto” Feat. Dave Grohl On Drums

Tenacious D have announced that they will be releasing a new album titled “Post-Apocalypto” on November 2. Once again, the effort sees the band joined by Dave Grohl (Foo Fighters) on drums. Furthermore, the group also plan to launch an animated “Post-Apocalypto” Youtube series on September 28. It will include six episodes featuring drawings done by Jack Black himself. Each character will be voiced by Black and Kyle Gass as well. You can find a teaser for that below:

A press release offered more insight into “Post-Apocalypto”:

“True to the title, Post-Apocalypto finds Tenacious D thrust into a world of complete and utter destruction following the drop of an atomic bomb. Surviving the attack in classic cinematic fashion (a good old imperishable 1950’s refrigerator), the duo quickly learns that new forms of evil have spawned from the blast. One thing becomes apparent — for humanity to prevail, Tenacious D must save the world.

With unimaginable twists and turns, an insane visit to the White House, a time machine, a space adventure, and the help of some tried and true daddy issues, Post-Apocalypto is as hilarious as it is political, and as brilliant and multi-faceted as its incredible creators. The songs are damn good, too.”

Audioslave To Reunite For Prophets Of Rage’s Anti-Inaugural Ball In Los Angeles, CA

Audioslave will be reuniting as part of Prophets Of Rage’s “Anti-Inaugural Ball,” which they put together to protest Donald Trump‘s U.S. presidential inauguration on January 20. The event will be held at at the Teragram Ballroom, and will also feature: Vic Mensa, Jackson Browne, Jack Black and The Los Angeles Freedom Choir. Prophets Of Rage commented:

“The Anti-Inaugural Ball is a celebration of resistance. Resistance to racism. Resistance to sexism. Resistance to homophobia. Resistance to bullying. Resistance to environmental devastation. Resistance to fascism. Resistance to Donald Trump. We are staring down the barrel of a dystopian nightmare unless we act NOW, unless we fight back NOW. We intend to create “No Trump Zones” across the country; in our homes, our schools, our places of work, and our concert stages. Bad Presidents make for great music. Join us as we get loud and stand together to defend our rights, our country, and our planet.”
