David Lee Roth Says His Unreleased Album With John 5 Will Surface One Day

During a recent interview with Meltdown of Detroit’s WRIF, David Lee Roth (Van Halen) confirmed that his unreleased album with John 5 (Rob Zombie, etc.) will be surfacing at some point. The singer said the following:

“It will. There’s been a revision of things, and I can start making real plans and start marching into the future. And, of course, you’ll start hearing that material. This is material that we wrote variously for me solo and for VAN HALEN, and it’s quite a bank of stuff.”

However, it’s worth noting that release plans are still pending and that Roth is currently focusing on “getting out on the road.”

John 5 Says Rob Zombie’s New Album Is “Very Heavy” & “Hooky”

During a recent interview with Revolver, John 5 talked a bit about Rob Zombie’s upcoming album. According to the guitarist, the effort is “a heavy Zombie record with great hooks.”

John 5 said the following

“[It’s] heavy, very heavy. It’s just a heavy Zombie record with great hooks. It’s very, very musical, and a hard-hitting Zombie record. I think people are really gonna dig it. I’m a Zombie fan, and if I heard it, I’d be like, ‘Oh my God, this is brutal.’ I’m really excited about it.”

He also added the following when asked if it was his favorite Zombie album that he’s played on:

“Well, this is definitely the most musical, meaning there are a lot of different changes, and it’s very unorthodox how the structure is, you know? I have to be careful because I know people will take a little snippet of what I’m saying, so we’ll go with a very heavy, hooky Rob Zombie record.”
