Between The Buried And Me Announce “Automata I” & “Automata II” Livestream Concerts

Between The Buried And Me will be performing “Automata I” and “Automata II” in full during some virtual concerts next month. The shows will stream live on March 19-20 via Twitch.

The band commented:

“As we head into the void of another year, we’ve decided to host another weekend streaming event, this time playing Automata I+II in their entirety. These will be live, full-band performances in the basement of Blake’s parent’s house. Two of these songs we have never played live together, so who knows what’s going to happen! There will be two performances followed by Q&A chats for subscribers and then a deep dive into the studio session where we can answer anything you want to know about the record. The streams will be free for everyone over on our Twitch channel and we will announce more details about the entire event in the coming weeks. Don’t worry, whenever it’s safe to tour again, the 20 year/Great Misdirect tour will be the first thing we do.⁣

Between The Buried And Me To Release Remixed/Remastered Version Of “Alaska”

Tommy Rogers said the following:

“The new mix has really reconfirmed how much I enjoy this album. The ‘Alaska‘ era was a huge turning point for the band, and I think this album now sounds how we originally intended it to. Hopefully, our fans will reconnect with the album in a new way like I have. Regardless, I’m extremely excited for the world to hear these songs!”

Dustie Waring also commented:

“‘Alaska‘ has always been mega-special to us, as it was our first record with this line-up. I’m very excited for everyone to hear this album in the way that we originally envisioned it.”

Dan Briggs continued:

“This record was written while three of us were under 21 and only one of us was old enough to rent a car in any of the 50 states. We wrote it in Blake’s old bedroom in his parents’ basement and recorded it in Jamie King’s parents’ basement. Now it has been remixed in Jamie’s current basement and we are old and still playing in Blake’s parents’ basement.”

Blake Richardson added:

“I’m really excited for everyone to hear this record with a drum tone that doesn’t sound like the bottom snare mic was blasted to 500 percent.”
