More artists have been added to the second annual “Above Ground” benefit concert. The event will take place at The Fonda Theatre in Hollywood on September 16 and the updated lineup includes: Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction), Billy Idol, Billy Morrison (Billy Idol), Steve Stevens (Billy Idol), Jack Black (Tenacious D), Al Jourgensen (Ministry), Gavin Rossdale (Bush), Perry Farrell (Jane’s Addiction), Juliette Lewis, Steve Vai, Mike Garson (David Bowie), Brad Wilk (Prophets Of Rage/Rage Against The Machine), Billy Duffy (The Cult), Wayne Kramer (MC5), Carmine Rojas (David Bowie), Chris Chaney (Jane’s Addiction), Franky Perez (Deadland Ritual), Twiggy, Dave Kushner (Velvet Revolver), Mixi Demner (Stitched Up Heart), Jason Christopher (Prong), Etty Lauy Farrell (Kind Heaven Orchestra), Erik Eldenius (Billy Idol), Paul Trudeau (Billy Idol), Donovan Leitch, and Julie Mintz. As previously reported, the all-star band will be playing David Bowie’s “The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars” and The Stooges’ self-titled debut album in full. Dave Navarro (Jane’s Addiction) and Billy Morrison (BIilly Idol) have joined forces to put together “Above Ground,” a concert that will celebrate the vinyl album as an art form, while raising money for mental health awareness. The event, which will take place at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles on April 16, will feature Navarro and Morrison performing Velvet Underground’s “The Velvet Underground & Nico” and Adam And The Ants’ “Kings of the Wild Frontier” in full, alongside Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour), Jesse Hughes (Eagles Of Death Metal), Billy Idol, Courtney Love, Chris Chaney (Janes’ Addiction), Erik Eldenius (Billy Idol), Josh Freese, Lili Haydn, etc.
