Marilyn Manson To Perform At Cyndi Lauper’s Holiday Benefit Show

Marilyn Manson will be performing at the “Cyndi Lauper & Friends: Home For The Holidays” concert at The Novo in Los Angeles, CA on December 10. That event will also feature a number of other guests including Belinda Carlisle, Brandi Carlile, Henry Rollins, Perry Farrell, and more. Proceeds from the show will go towards Lauper‘s True Colors United organization.

Metallica To Hold Second Annual “Helping Hands” Benefit Show In March

Metallica have announced that their second annual “All Within My Hands Foundation Helping Hands” benefit concert will be held at the Masonic in San Francisco, CA on March 28. This year’s event featured a special acoustic set and auction that raised over $1.3 million for charity.

Metallica commented:

“Thank you to all of you from near and far, literally from all around the globe, who came to San Francisco to spend the weekend with us for the two S&M² concerts… we’re still feeling the tremendous buzz and love from those nights! It only seemed fitting to invite you all back again soon, so we’re here to announce the date of our second annual All Within My Hands Foundation Helping Hands Concert on Saturday, March 28, 2020. Just like last year’s show, the benefit will be held at the very intimate Masonic in San Francisco.

Mark your calendars to join us and see what we’ve been up to since the Foundation formed in 2017, learn about the charities we’ve supported and the work we’re doing in local communities, and we’ll close out the night by hitting the stage for a live performance.

On December 22, Chevy Metal, the cover band led by Foo Fighters’ Taylor Hawkins, played a benefit show for the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank. The set featured a number of guests including: Nikki Sixx (Mötley Crüe), Hawkins’ Foo Fighters bandmate Dave Grohl, his son Oliver Shane Hawkins, and Lisa Loeb.

Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) To Play Acoustic Set At Star Treatments Fundraising Benefit

Corey Taylor (Slipknot, Stone Sour) will be playing an acoustic set at Fremont Country Club in Las Vegas, NV on December 14 as part of a fundraising benefit for Star Treatments. That organization was founded by Matt DiRito (Pop Evil) and it “provides a VIP transportation experience for children battling cancer to medical facilities.” The event will also feature Jason Christopher (Prong), the all-girl dance group Cherry Bombs, Bravo Delta, and Words As Weapons. Underoath Announce Benefit Show For Lucas Starr (Ex-Oh, Sleeper)

Lucas Starr (Terminal, ex-Oh, Sleeper) was recently diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer and Underoath have decided to help him out with a special benefit show at 2513 Deep Ellum in Dallas, TX on November 5. Terminal, Crown The Empire, ’68, and The Plot In You will serve as support. Underoath‘s Tim McTague commented:

“A lot of stuff that happens in life — you can’t change. Every once in a while, there’s something you can. When our friend Lucas was diagnosed with cancer, we wanted to do more than just posting a GoFundMe. It took a minute, and a lot of work from our team and the promoter, but everyone rallied and we are doing this show. All of the bands are playing to celebrate Lucas and bless his family. 100% of all money made at the door is going straight to Lucas and his family. We hope to see you all there for a sick party for an even better cause.”

Slipknot drummer Jay Weinberg has announced that he will be one of the presenters at an upcoming benefit show for Best Buddies Tennessee. The event, which will take place at The Basement East in Nashville, TN on October 16, will feature Weinberg covering The Who, Misfits, etc. with members of Mastodon, The E Street Band, The Dillinger Escape Plan, The Offspring, Suicidal Tendencies, Exodus, Mutoid Man, and more.

Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith has recruited a number of artists to participate in an all-star jam at “Will Ferrell’s Best Night Of Your Life” benefit. The group, who will perform under the moniker “Chad Smith’s Super Mega Funktastic Jam Rock All Stars,” will feature Smith, along with Chris Martin (Coldplay), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), Josh Klinghoffer (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Stefan Lessard (Dave Matthews Band), and Brad Paisley. “Will Ferrell’s Best Night of Your Life” will take place on October 6 at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA and it will be hosted by Ferrell himself. The event will feature music as well as the following comedians: Jerry Seinfeld, Samantha Bee, James Corden, Jimmy Kimmel, Conan O’Brien, Jim Jefferies, Michelle Wolf, Zooey Deschanel, Kumail Nanjiani, Jerrod Carmichael, and Brody Stevens.

Good Charlotte have premiered a new video for their new song “Shadowboxer.” This track is from the band’s new album “Generation Rx,” which will be released on September 14. In other news, the group will also headline a benefit festival for the victims of the Capital Gazette shooting on July 28 in Annapolis, Maryland. Benji Madden told Capital Gazette the following:

“I don’t know what we can bring to it, other than we just want to be involved in supporting the city. Obviously, we’re all shocked [from the shooting]. We’re all kind of speechless. These are moments when you really don’t know what to do to help.”
