The following statement was posted on wacken.com:

And since we don’t want to exclude anybody from what is probably gonna be the coolest Metal Party of the year, the whole event is free of charge! For real.

These fine artists (among others) will be joining us live:

Blind Guardian

Heaven Shall Burn

In Extremo

Kreator

Beyond The Black

We’re also trying to bring you something unique, because technically we’re trying to set new standards. We do nothing less than the biggest mixed reality show of all times. That means: Full-fledged live performances and no boring living room concerts in an unprecedented form for the full dose of metal at your home, in the garden, at the lake – Rain or Shine or Online!

Our digital streaming festival brings you not only these unique concerts of classic W:O:A crowd favourites but also newcomers, exclusive interviews and conversations, insights behind the scenes and much more. For that Wacken feeling the Wacken Foundation, the Metal Battle and other well-known and beloved faces will of course be joining us as well.

To make your festival feeling complete we offer souvenir tickets and festival ribbons for a small price, which you can find under this link. With the purchase you support us and the artists involved in a unique project that the metal world has never seen before.

And if you want to celebrate your very own Wacken and demonstrate your solidarity with other metalheads around the globe, you can find more articles like t-shirts in the new World Wide Wacken design under this link.

“With 2019 having been the biggest year in our career as a band so far, we were thrilled and anxious to get back to the studio and start writing again — not just to make up to the fast and amazing development that has happened in the band since our last album, but to pin this development down also musically for everyone to hear and see.

‘Hørizøns’ is unmistakably a Beyond The Black album, but with so many new facets and personality adding up to the classic Beyond The Black ID that make it a true band album. For us this has definitely been a walk on the tightrope and we feel to have it accomplished to its fullest. Without beating around the bush, we can say that we’re extremely proud and confident that ‘Hørizøns’ is the best Beyond The Black album to date.”
