Alcest Premiere “Protection” Music Video

Alcest have premiered a new video for their new song “Protection.” This track is from the band’s new album “Spiritual Instinct,” which will be released on October 25. Frontman Neige commented:

“‘Protection‘ is the first track I wrote for ‘Spiritual Instinct‘. It’s probably one of our most heavy, spontaneous songs. It is about inner conflict, the tension between the spiritual and darker sides of a person, facing your own anguishes in order to embrace them and then fight them. Like the other tracks on the album, writing it was a very cathartic, healing process for me.”

Alcest To Release New Album “Spiritual Instinct” In October

Alcest have announced that their new album “Spiritual Instinct” will be released on October 25 via Nuclear Blast. The band commented:

“Alcest‘s 6th album is called ‘Spiritual Instinct‘ and will be released on the 25th of October on Nuclear Blast. The recording of ‘Spiritual Instinct‘ has been a long and challenging process, but we feel really proud of it and can’t wait to share our new music with all of you. The artwork has been made by the Parisian duo Førtifem and represents a sphinx, as a reference to the symbolism art movement. The sphinx is the ultimate figure of the enigma, which embodies both the spiritual and feral sides inside us.”

Alcest Sign With Nuclear Blast Records

Alcest have signed a new deal with Nuclear Blast Records. With this news, the band have also confirmed that they are working on a new album.

Alcest commented:

“We are happy to start a new chapter of our journey by signing a deal with Nuclear Blast Records. We are in the studio at the moment, working on our 6th album and feel really excited about releasing this record with the help of our new partners. We will also start playing live again from May this year, so keep an eye on the dates!”
