  • Here’s The Musicians Who Performed On As I Lay Dying’s Upcoming Single

As I Lay Dying will be releasing a new single, titled “Echoes,” on October 8. The track finds frontman Tim Lambesis joined by bassist/vocalist Chris Clancy (Mutiny Within), guitarist Bill Hudson (NorthTale, Tommy Vext), guitarist Don Vedda, guitarist Jack Daniels (War Of Ages), and drummer Tim Yeung (Tommy Vext, ex-Divine Heresy). It is currently unknown if the same musicians will take part in the band’s European “Shadows Are Security” 20th anniversary tour. As previously reported, the band experienced another mass exodus in 2024 that saw everyone quit except Lambesis, who has continued to make headlines amid his divisive actions. The vocalist, who previously served prison time for trying to hire a hitman to kill one of his former wives, stirred up controversy once again after footage of him engaging in altercations with his latest wife and their dog surfaced.

  • Black Cross Hotel (The Atlas Moth, Etc.) Premiere New Song “Eyes From Nowhere”

Black Cross Hotel (The Atlas Moth, Stabbing Westward, Minsk, etc.) have premiered a new song titled “Eyes From Nowhere.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Songs For Switches,” which will be released on October 31. Bassist Sanford Parker said the following about the single:

“’Eyes From Nowhere’ started with me channeling a raw, Jesus Lizard-type energy, then Marcus and Andrew pulled it in a completely unexpected direction – right into dark, punk-fueled Depeche Mode.”

    Keyboardist Andrew Ragin added:

“To me, this track screams ‘RoboCop’ (1987). It’s a sophisticated blend of elements that explores identity, humanity, and the consequences of unchecked corporatism through the story of a murdered police officer transformed into a cyborg.”

  • Primitive Man Premiere “Natural Law” Video

Primitive Man have premiered a new video for their new song “Natural Law.” This track will appear on the band’s new album, “Observance,” which will be released on Halloween (October 31). Frontman Ethan McCarthy commented:

“‘Natural Law’ is one of the more ‘trance-like’ songs in terms of how it was written and I think leans in on the dark psychedelic vibe we have tried to harness for this. Lyrically it deals with feelings of isolation, friend or associates turned bitter enemies, and how the option of violence is always there; that it is a personal choice whether or not to succumb to it and the struggle within that framework. It is also somewhat of a call out to anyone that the lyrics apply to. It also states that there is strength and a spark within hatred that you can either use to progress your life forward or end up dead/in jail. Depending on one’s lot in life, you may have to make that choice every single day.”

  • Frayle Premiere “Boo” Video

Frayle have premiered a new video for their new song “Boo.” This track is from their new album, “Heretics & Lullabies,” which will be released on October 10. The band commented:

“’Boo’ was inspired by an incident in Germany, when Gwyn, walking alone on a dark street, startled a woman traveling with her companions. She screamed, and the entire group hurried to the other side of the road. The song is a tongue-in-cheek response to moments like these—because for some of us, every day is Halloween.”
