Anthrax have shared an official video for the title track of their new album “Cursum Perficio.” That effort will be released tomorrow (September 18).
Guitarist Scott Ian told Rolling Stone the following:
“The video for ‘Cursum Perficio’ captures all of the themes I’m exploring in the lyrics … they’re epic in scope … how do you quantify your life? How do you measure oceans of time, and what did you do with it? And were all the struggles worth it in the end?”
Drummer Charlie Benante continued:
“What I love about this video is that it matches the tone of the song so well. This song has always been the dark horse of the record. This video may be as well.”
Video star London May (ex-Samhain) added:
“‘Cursum Perficio’ brought out the beast in me. I broke my finger the very first day and had to beg them to keep shooting. That was real chain and real pain. I went through hell and back for Anthrax and Don Argott — and I’d happily do it all again!”
Dragged Under will be releasing a new album, titled “Social Battery: Low,” on March 12, 2027. The record comes after the band reunited with guitarist Ryan “Fluff” Bruce and bassist Hans Hessburg.

Frontman Anthony Cappocchi commented:
“I was so mad when [Bruce and Hessburg] left like that. It took all the fun out of it for me, and all that was left was anger. But with time, the fire turns to embers, the embers turn to ashes, and the ashes turn to dust. Then I was like, ‘What was I mad about in the first place?’ But we couldn’t have done this new album if that hadn’t happened.
The time off gave everyone perspective. We realized that we were lucky to have been able to play shows and put out records in the first place. And we’re lucky to be in a position now to continue to do it. That got us pumped to make the best album we could make.
Our band was never better than it was with our core members — me, Sean, Hans, and Fluff. In a way, it’s like mom and dad got back together. And since they’ve been back, those dudes have been as committed to Dragged Under and as stoked about it as they were when they first joined. Knowing that only made us want to be bigger than ever.”
A music video for the effort’s first single, “Razor’s Edge Collapse,” can be found below. Cappocchi added the following about that track:
“It’s about feeling like your city is always on that razor’s edge, and any day it could all go upside-down. We lived on a busy street right near a mall. We’d hear cops flying down our street all the time. We loved living in Seattle when we were younger, but we had to move because it got dangerous in a lot of ways and I’m not going to do anything that would put me or my kids in danger. If something happened to me, they wouldn’t have a father.”
Wolves At The Gate have premiered a new song titled “Letterkills.” The band commented:
“‘Letterkills’ continues the story arc where ‘Wasteland’ left off, with the character climbing toward healing, only to discover that the very things he believed would save him were slowly destroying him.”
Anthrax will be playing a headlining show at The Roxy in West Hollywood, CA on September 26. The set will find the band celebrating the release of their new album “Cursum Perficio” (out September 18).
Ice Nine Kills will be joining forces with AMC for a new “Welcome To Horrorwood” Thrills & Chills film series. The special screenings will feature classic movies paired with music videos from the band.

“This October, AMC Theatres® (NYSE: AMC), the largest theatrical exhibitor in the United States and the world, is teaming up with horror metal icons Ice Nine Kills to bring some of horror’s most unforgettable films back to the big screen for ‘Welcome to Horrorwood,’ a monthlong AMC Thrills & Chills® series at approximately 300 AMC locations across the U.S.
Inspired by Ice Nine Kills’ ‘The Silver Scream’ and ‘The Silver Scream 2: Welcome to Horrorwood’ albums, and in partnership with horror entertainment brand Bloody Disgusting, the series pairs the band’s love of horror with five films that have helped define the genre: ‘HOSTEL,’ ‘FRIDAY THE 13TH,’ ‘AMERICAN PSYCHO,’ ‘PET SEMATARY,’ and ‘THE CROW.’ Each screening will also feature a custom introduction from Ice Nine Kills frontman Spencer Charnas before the film, followed by the band’s corresponding music video inspired by the feature.
‘Welcome to Horrorwood’ takes over Friday and Tuesday nights at AMC throughout October, with all screenings beginning at 8 p.m. local time. For Halloween weekend, ‘THE CROW’ will be featured as the Friday night title on October 30, and returns for a special Halloween night screening on Saturday, October 31.

Mirrors have premiered a new video for their new song “Devil’s Due.” This track will appear on the band’s new album, “The Red Sky,” which will be released on November 27 via Greyscale Records.
The following was said about the single:
“[It] confronts the figure that pushes us towards self destruction. That figure can manifest as someone in our lives whose influence brings out the worst in us, or as an internal voice that takes control and pulls us further from the person we want to be. ‘Devil’s Due‘ is about recognising what, or who, needs to be cast aside in order to become better for ourselves and the people around us.”
The band also commented on the album:
“In different times in everyone’s lives, we all experience these moments. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, an individual who breaks us down or a literal force of nature that leaves us wondering what we have left. However, these moments also present the opportunity to grow, discover something new and build something to withstand the next storm.”
