Enter Shikari Premiere “(Pls) Set Me On Fire” Music Video

Enter Shikari have premiered a new video for their latest single “(Pls) Set Me On Fire.” This track is from the band’s new album “A Kiss For The Whole World,” which will be released on April 21. Rou Reynolds commented:

“I’ve not always been happy with our previous music videos, so figured I’d put my money where my mouth was and direct these ones myself. I wanted the ‘(pls) set me on fire’ video to feel minimal and uncomplicated, which is actually the polar opposite of the next video. So, given that the main function of this video is really just to set up the next one, I think it came out fucking great.”

Enter Shikari Premiere New Song “(Pls) Set Me On Fire”

Enter Shikari have premiered a new song titled “(Pls) Set Me On Fire.” This track is from the band’s new album “A Kiss For The Whole World,” which will be released on April 21.

Rou Reynolds commented:

“Honestly, I thought I was fucked. I’ve never felt so detached from my soul, my purpose, my fucking spirit. I didn’t write music for almost two years. The longest I’d gone before that was two weeks. I was broken. It’s almost as if my brain had asked: ‘What is the point in music if it cannot be shared? What is the point in writing music if it’s not to be experienced with others?’ and then promptly switched itself off. ‘(Pls) Set Me On Fire’ grew out of that desperation. This song is a projectile vomit of positive energy. Every emotion trapped inside me for two years, finally set free.”

He also added:

“Back to basics. This band — my best friends — bundled into an old farmhouse, miles away from anywhere. Off-grid, and ready to rediscover ourselves. This album is powered by the sun, the most powerful object in our solar system. And I think you can tell. It’s a collection of songs that represent an explosive reconnection with what Enter Shikari is. The beginning of our second act.”

Enter Shikari Share Music Video For New Song “Bull” Featuring Cody Frost

Enter Shikari have teamed up with Cody Frost for a new song titled “Bull.” You can find an official video for that track below:

Rou Reynolds commented:

“Some people seem to crop up in your life, do immense damage to it, and then scuttle off again unscathed and unfazed. Whether it’s harassers or bullies, social media trolls, or ill-considered romantic partners, this song is about those who damage your mental health, your self-esteem, and even your very identity.

We’ve known Cody for years and years now, and consider them a real part of the inner Shikari family. We’ve always known they were a wonderful talent and it’s been great to see them begin to ascend and find their voice.

When I was writing the chorus to Bull I could just immediately hear their voice. It seemed ingrained in the very viscera of the song already. We showed them the track and they came at us with all the passion in the world. Cody has incredible dynamic ability and is able to offer enormous power but with real vulnerability and tenderness never too far away. It was a joy to have them on this one, it all came together so effortlessly and we are all over the moon with the result.”

Cody Frost added:

“I can’t tell you how much this collab means to me, and it came at just the right time. I’d been through a hard breakup and lost everything, so when Rory messaged me asking if I wanted to be on a Shikari track, I lost my mind! I’ve been a huge fan of Enter Shikari since I was 15, I even have my favourite track title tattooed on my palms. When I got the news I sat in my room for hours and the lyrics just poured out, I went into the studio with Dan (Weller), who has worked with me on my own music and some of Shikari’s too, to lay down the vocals while the band listened! Filming the video was a dream, my favourite musicians serving me pies!!! It was surreal, and the concept was so fun I just know that Shikari fans are gonna dig it.”

Enter Shikari Share Music Video For “The Void Stares Back” Featuring Wargasm

Enter Shikari and Wargasm have premiered a new video for their collaborative track “The Void Stares Back.” You can check that out below:

Enter Shikari’s Rou Reynolds previously commented:

“It is with elation, and more than a little nervousness, that we release this; our first track after over two years of dormancy. It is a roisterous journey made all the more so with the addition of our friends Wargasm. Thematically, the piece is about the forward march of social progress, and how, often, those with a more conventional archaic outlook on sexuality, gender, social design, economics etc, see those with differing ideas like bewildering, depraved creatures from another dimension.”

Wargasm added:

“Shikari were a big part of our growing up, so it was an absolute honour to be asked to collaborate with such an incredible and well-spoken band. They stand for the right things – we’re a little more pessimistic. It was fun playing the darker devil’s advocate to Rou’s light…where we’re going, you won’t need eyes to see…”

Enter Shikari Premiere New Song “Stop The Clocks”

Enter Shikari have premiered a new titled “Stop The Clocks.” You can stream that below:

Rou Reynolds commented:

“2018 was the first full year in Enter Shikari’s professional career in which we didn’t release any new music. We loved how The Spark was connecting with people and wanted to give the album its rightful breathing space .. but, not wanting to be dormant, we began a new track towards the end of the year. Anyone who has seen us live recently will have heard ‘Stop the Clocks’ – it’s an upbeat post-punk pop track about the joys of human connection.

When someone is open and honest about their vulnerabilities, others can connect with them, and then all of us can feel stronger and more comfortable. It conveys the relief, warmth and freeing nature of the normalization of mental health struggles, following decades of stigmatism. A flickering flame of positivity in these difficult and regressive times.”
