TesseracT Release Two-Track Single “Regrowth” To Raise Money For Ukraine

TesseracT have released a new two-track single, titled “Regrowth,” in an effort to raise money for the Disasters Emergency Committee to benefit Ukraine. The effort, which features “Hollow” and “Rebirth,“ can be purchased HERE.

The band commented:

“‘Once the doom is dead and gone there will be a regrowth. Hollow. But, reborn.’

These songs have been in the TesseracT domain for a while. We had developed them for album 5, but they just weren’t the right fit for where that album has headed. Rather than have them slowly decay on a server somewhere, we felt they could do something good, no matter how small?

Many organisations are doing good at the moment. Médecin Sans Frontières, Amnesty International, and World United. We chose to help The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) in their drive to aid those in Ukraine affected by the invasion by Russia, and warzones around the world.

Our last headline tour visited Kyiv, Kharkiv, and Lviv. We have travelled the roads currently under attack, but cannot begin to imagine the change they have undergone.”

TesseracT Share Footage Of “Concealing Fate Pt. 1” From “P O R T A L S” Livestream Concert

TesseracT have shared a new live video for their song “Concealing Fate Pt. 1.” The footage is taken from the band’s December 2020 “P O R T A L S” livestream concert. As previously reported, that set will be released as a new live album/film on August 27.

Bassist Amos Williams commented:

“Concealing Fate Part One…Acceptance. This, for many long time fans, would have been the first bit of noise that they would have heard from us. It’s a powerful journey for the band that encompasses so much of what we are. Heavy, chunky riffs, soaring melodies, and intricate rhythmic sections. It’s all and everything TesseracT is.

So, for P O R T A L S, we decided it needed a look that was unlike anything else we had ever created. Our team did not disappoint. The visual tone captured by Richard Oakes has a quality that draws you in. The unusual lighting created by Tom Campbell sits stark in contrast to the rest of the show. Somehow this song stays fresh, even after all these years. The story it has to tell remains true. It is perhaps fitting that as we release P O R T A LS on Friday, we should also release the first song from from our first release way back in 2010. The song that began our long journey.”

TesseracT Share Footage Of “Tourniquet” From “P O R T A L S” Livestream Concert

TesseracT have shared a new live video for their song “Tourniquet.” The footage is taken from the band’s December 2020 “P O R T A L S” livestream concert. As previously reported, that set will be released as a new live album/film on August 27. Amos Williams commented:

“We wanted to bring a balance of fan favorites and deep cuts to the show. ‘Tourniquet‘ is one of those songs that sits firmly in both of those camps and is one we have never performed live before. It’s such a powerful build-up that we knew we had to find a really interesting way to support this visually. The team of Tom Campbell (LD), Dan Briggs (Lasers), and Richard Oaks (DP) really brought their ‘A’ game. When we saw this footage back, it was mesmerizing. Once again, this song highlights just what a wonderful team effort this was. The colors, the vibe, the cinematography — it all intertwines to lift the song to another level.”

TesseracT Share Footage Of “Nocturne” From “P O R T A L S” Livestream Concert

TesseracT have shared a new live video for their song “Nocturne.” The footage is taken from the band’s December 2020 “P O R T A L S” livestream concert. As previously reported, that set will be released as a new live album/film on August 27.

Bassist Amos Williams commented:

“‘Nocturne‘ has been a firm fan and band favorite since it was released ahead of the Altered State album cycle. As such, we threw a lot into the performance, which was matched by our production team, who really pushed the envelope with what they achieved during this track. The laser effects and lighting is powerful and emotive, and Rich‘s cinematography really hits the mark.

Every tour produces a slightly different version of this track, as our mindset waxes and wanes, but this version of ‘Nocturne‘ is a real high mark for us, we feel; it was just so much fun to perform after not performing it for a year. So, why didn’t we close the show with this song if it was so fun?

The thought did cross our minds — we figured everybody would want that. But we wanted to sit outside our comfort zone with an ‘encore’ of real deep cuts and fan favorites. Thus, ‘Nocturne (P O R T A L S)‘ was the perfect handover between the desired and expected, as well as an excellent guide for everyone as we turned to face the weird and wonderful direction of the final act.”

TesseracT Announce “P O R T A L S” Cinematic Live Experience

TesseracT have announced a special cinematic live experience, which they are calling “P O R T A L S.” The virtual event will stream on December 12 and tickets can be purchased at portals.show.

Bassist Amo Williams commented:

“‘P O R T A L S‘ is a celebration of our love of performing. Each act is a still from an ever-evolving musical personality. Each song is the conversation you have with old friends when you meet up for the first time in ages and you pick up exactly where you left off. This year has presented us all with an unusual set of barriers to surmount.

The limitations of not being able to tour and the absence of shows has focused us towards the concept of creating the ultimate tour production, within the ultimate TesseracT show. Where we explore every facet of our music, and every story we have told, and in doing so create new stories and in some cases commit evolved versions to a medium that will outlast the moment.”

Drummer Jay Postones will be unable to take part in the event due to COVID-19 restrictions, so Mike Maylan (Monuments) will be filling in.
