• Failure Premiere New Song “A Way Down”

Failure have premiered a new song titled “A Way Down.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Location Lost,” which will be released on April 24. Vocalist Ken Andrews commented:

“Musically speaking, ‘A Way Down’ is an homage to two bands who actually got me to pick up the guitar and try to write my own music: The Cure and Siouxsie & The Banshees, specifically their early 80s periods with albums like Juju and Pornography. I was captured by the angular guitar approach and the unapologetic dark atmospheres that dripped off those records. Lyrically, ‘A Way Down’ is another study in miscommunication and the resulting loneliness it often brings. No silver linings here.”

  • OBEYER Premiere “Nothing Exists Beyond Me” Music Video

OBEYER have premiered a new video for their new song “Nothing Exists Beyond Me.” You can check that out below. The track is from the band’s new EP, “Pallor,” which will be released on May 1.

    “Pallor” Track Listing:

    01. “Trauma Host“
    02. “A Single Shade“
    03. “Become Cold“
    04. “Nothing Exists Beyond Me“

The group commented on the EP:

“The aim for ‘Pallor‘ was to concentrate our favourite elements from our debut album while ensuring we progressed and expanded our sound. We’re so happy with how these ideas have translated and grateful to have worked again with Sam Bloor at Lower Lane, who has helped bring our ideas to life over these four tracks. It’s a far more aggressive version of us, a natural progression from ‘Chemical Well‘, lyrically a lot more vulnerable and overall a lot bleaker. We’re incredibly excited to be working once again with 3DOT Recordings for this release and can’t wait for everyone to hear these tracks on May 1.”

“‘Oblivion’ is a cinematic, apocalyptic metalcore track that leans into scale and emotion. The song balances heaviness with atmosphere, creating a sense of finality and awe. Lyrically, ‘Oblivion’ tells an apocalyptic love story — grappling with loss, reconnection, and what it means to step into the void at the end of all things.”

  • The HU Release New Songs “The Men” And “Warrior Chant”

The HU have shared two new tracks, “The Men” and “Warrior Chant.” A video for “The Men” and a stream of “Warrior Chant” can be found below:

    Galaa commented on “The Men”:

“‘The Men’ is written based on Mongolian philosophy of ‘Man’s Inner Spirit’ or ‘Хийморь’ and the importance of inner strength and kindness of a man to the world. Energy of men should always be reinforced with positiveness, strength and generosity, so this song try to encapsulate that ancient wisdom and share to the rest of humanity. Lyrics are chants that guides young and old men alike to be headstrong and to have dream that cultivate goodness. We only wanted to focus on the positives that can make a man ponder about who he is in this world and wonder about how he can have positive inner spirit when listening to it. Hope our fans will be able to capture every fiber of Mongolian Man’s way of living through this song.”

He also added the following about “Warrior Chant”:

“‘Warrior Chant’ has our signature rhythm that our fans fell in love with and everyone who will listen and know us will say that it is ‘our song.’ Our third album has bit of everything, rhythm-wise, and we see that as a progress of expanding the Hunnu Rock genre… Enkush and I focused on horse head fiddle solos by imitating the horse gait and you will hear the rhythm throughout the song.”

  • Metallica’s Partnership With Red Cross Helped Collect 40,000 Blood Donations

Metallica’s partnership with Red Cross has proven to be a success. The initiative helped collect 40,000 lifesaving blood donations worldwide. Fan who participated received a limited edition shirt and an entry into a contest for a signed guitar.

Darren Irby, Red Cross executive director for national partnerships, commented:

“What Metallica and their fans have accomplished this year is truly monumental ─ inspiring people to give blood for the first time while also energizing teens and young adults about the donation process. There is no substitute for blood ─ volunteer blood donors are the only source, and the Red Cross is deeply grateful for the significant impact this partnership has made for those facing cancer treatment, surgeries and traumatic situations.”

    Drummer Lars Ulrich continued:

“A hallmark mission of the All Within My Hands Foundation is to support critical care and communities, encouraging fans and friends to take action. We’re thrilled the Metallica family recognizes the importance of blood donation and didn’t hesitate to rally behind this lifesaving effort. Their enthusiasm has made a real difference, and we’re honored to stand alongside them.”

    The band also added:

“We are blown away by the Metallica Family’s generous participation across last year’s collaboration with the American Red Cross! Since launching in April 2025, more than 25,000 blood donations have been collected across the U.S. through the Red Cross x Metallica blood drives. We also had the privilege of taking this campaign international during the Australian leg of the M72 World Tour. Including the drives hosted by Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, the total number of blood donations collected rises to nearly 40,000!

We cannot thank the fans enough for rolling up their sleeves and joining us in this campaign to save lives, including thousands of first-time donors.

Whether you joined an official M72 Tour blood drive or participated in the following Give Where You Live campaign, you made a huge difference, and many of you now have the t-shirt to prove it.

The 2026 American Red Cross Gala is this weekend in San Francisco, and we are proud to be named the Visionary Partner of the Year. We are so appreciative to partner with an organization as respected and invaluable as the Red Cross and to support the critical work they do year-round.
