At The Gates have shared a new tribute for the late Tomas “Tompa” Lindberg. The frontman sadly passed away one year ago today (September 16).

The band said the following:

“Tomas.

Today marks one year since you left us. It still feels unfathomable, and the pain of losing you remains really immense.

The world without you feels like an empty place and we are still learning how to navigate life without you.

You were one of the kindest, most generous, funniest person that we got to know, and we feel incredibly fortunate to have had the opportunity to be your friend and to create music together.

We would also like to express our deepest and most heartfelt gratitude to all the fans for your kind words, stories, and photos of Tomas.

Your messages have meant more to us than we can put into words.

Thank you all, and thank you for remembering Tomas, for keeping his memory alive, and for continuing to share his legacy.
