• Paleface Swiss And Stick To Your Guns Release New Benefit Track “Instrument Of War”

Paleface Swiss and Stick To Your Guns have released a new benefit track titled “Instrument Of War.” You can find a video for that song below. Proceeds from the single and a new charity shirt will go towards Doctors Without Borders.

Paleface Swiss and Stick To Your Guns commented:

“‘No, painting is not done to decorate apartments. It is an instrument of war for attack and defense against the enemy.’ I felt like we both relate to this. Our music isn’t just some shit to put on in the background. It’s something real that comes from a real place and it’s meant to attack the things that divide us and defend all the things that bring us together.

Paleface Swiss has generally avoided taking explicit political positions—especially given how complex things are today. But Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) provides care to people afected by conflict, disease outbreaks, natural and human-made disasters, and mental health crises. That kind of direct, human-first action is something we deeply respect.

That said, both Stick To Your Guns and Paleface Swiss share clear values. As we mentioned, we stand for what’s right—whether that means supporting mental health (a core focus for Paleface Swiss) or speaking out against oppression and violence. For those who know our bands, this song already carries those messages. That’s why it felt like the right vehicle for something bigger—and why it made sense to use it to give back.”

  • Hatebreed And Jamey Jasta Seek To Have Claims In Former Bassist Chris Beattie’s Lawsuit Dismissed

As previously reported, ex-Hatebreed bassist Chris Beattie filed a lawsuit against the band and vocalist Jamey Jasta after claiming he was fired for financial reasons. However, Billboard are now reporting that the group and Jasta have since filed a motion to dismiss several claims against them.

Beattie was removed from the group after Jasta accused him of harassing a Live Nation security guard at Toyota Oakdale Theater in Wallingford, CT. However, Beattie claimed that allegation was “patently untrue.” He went on to say Jasta lied to keep his bandmates from defending him.

Beattie also claimed the frontman was “secretive” with the band’s finances and was trying to profit off his termination. He later claimed the firing had a “significant negative impact on his career, reputation, and health and well-being.” At the time, he was also seeking financial damages.

For their part, Hatebreed and Jasta say there is no legal basis for Beattie’s lawsuit. They also referred to the complaint as a “garden variety band break-up case.”

    The band’s attorneys added:

“Plaintiff, a disgruntled former band member of the band known as ‘Hatebreed,’ erroneously asserts a right to remain a permanent member of the band in perpetuity despite the fact that the underlying relationship between the parties was terminable at-will.”

The motion also claims there was no written contract to give Beattie a permanent spot in Hatebreed. As such, they were allowed to fire the bassist at any time.

Hatebreed and Jasta are currently seeking to have four of the six claims in Beattie’s lawsuit thrown out. The remaining claims regarding merch were not covered in the motion.

  • New Found Glory To Release New Album “Listen Up!” In February, Premiere “Laugh It Off” Video

New Found Glory have revealed the details for their new album “Listen Up!.” The effort will be released on February 20 and it can be pre-ordered HERE.

    “Listen Up!” Track Listing:

    01. “Boom Roasted”
    02. “100%”
    03. “Laugh It Off”
    04. “A Love Song”
    05. “Beer and Blood Stains”
    06. “Medicine”
    07. “Treat Yourself”
    08. “Dream Born Again”
    09. “You Got This”
    10. “Frankenstein’s Monster”

    The group commented:

“The overall message/theme of this album is to encourage hope through hard times, while also looking at the world as somewhat of a fly on a wall: seeing people’s fear, negativity, and stress about small things that only scratch the surface of what life will eventually – but bring in a hopeful way. We want to encourage hope that the hard times will bring growth and strength. So the music is super fun and anthemic and loose feeling. We’re singing loud and proud about the scars and not in a pity party sort of way.

There’s also a lot of reflection. We’re looking back at the good ol’ days as reminders of all we’ve been through in life that led us to the people we are today. Sonically the album has that juxtaposition too. It’s fun pop melodies mixed with the heavier, riffed songs.”

A video for the effort’s latest single, “Laugh It Off,” can be found below. The band added the following about that:

“This is an upbeat song based around this lead riff that recurs throughout, while the lyrics are about being on each other’s case in a relationship at times. But you get so lost in the debate that you have to stop and laugh. The connection is so deep that you always end up acknowledging that it was a silly argument. And you always end up laughing, especially in the middle of the argument when someone pronounces something wrong or says something backwards. Life’s too short to get hung up on the little passing things.”
