L.S. Dunes (My Chemical Romance, Circa Survive, Etc.) Premiere New Song “2022”

L.S. Dunes, the project featuring Anthony Green (Circa Survive), Frank Iero (My Chemical Romance), Travis Stever (Coheed And Cambria), Tim Payne (Thursday), and Tucker Rule (Thursday), have premiered a new song titled “2022.” This track is from the band’s new album “Past Lives,” which will be released on November 11. Green commented:

“I wrote 2022 when I was struggling to communicate the pain that I was in during the pandemic. I survived an overdose the previous year and was feeling like I would never be free of the obsession to get high, or just get out of my own skin and that I was only going to continue to hurt everyone I loved. It was a cop-out and easier for me to write a song rather than get honest and real with the people in my life – cry for help in a way. If there’s a positive take away, it’s that it’s never a burden to the people you love to share your feelings no matter how dark or painful it might be.”

“We wanted to do something different with ‘The Carousel Tour,’ something more collaborative than your usual show. So while each of us will have our own set times, these aren’t solo sets. We’ve challenged each other to blur the lines and join in on each other’s songs and to bring other players onto the stage with us each night. We don’t want any show on the tour to feel routine or the same as the night before. We’re trying to lean into the unpredictability of these current times while manifesting inspiration and unhinged joy.”
