Terror have announced that they will be releasing a new album titled “Trapped In A World“ on March 5. The effort, which was tracked live in the studio with ex-guitarist Todd Jones (Nails), features re-recorded versions of songs from “Lowest Of The Low” and “One With The Underdogs.“

“Trapped In A World” Track Listing:

01. “Lowest Of The Low”
02. “Life And Death”
03. “Out Of My Face”
04. “Keep Your Distance”
05. “Less Than Zero”
06. “Overcome”
07. “Better Off Without You”
08. “Crushed By The Truth”
09. “Not This Time”
10. “One With The Underdogs”
11. “Keep Your Mouth Shut”
12. “Push It Away”

Frontman Scott Vogel commented:

“As the world locked down and Terror went on a full pause with the pandemic hitting the USA hard, somehow this created a perfect opportunity with Nick, Todd, and myself to start writing Terror songs twenty years after we started this band. Of course, all the other members are involved in this process, but with travel restrictions and us being so spread-out location-wise, a lot of weekends the three of us were just getting in a room and creating new Terror songs and it’s been a pretty insane experience. Todd is a deep-thinking maniac that can write hardcore songs like no one I have seen before, and the three of us fell right back into our early mindset and the energy and aggression felt just like it did on day one.”

Jones added:

“Got together with the Terror Crew (in a creative sense), for the first time since recording ‘One With The Underdogs‘. The ideas, guitars, lyrics/vocals, songs came pouring out. Locked in with Nick and Scott as if it hasn’t been sixteen years since we played together. There’s no shortage of song writers in Terror and the stuff we’ve collectively come up with so far… I can’t stop listening to these tracks. Magic via musical chemistry. It’s our aim to deliver to you a visceral and explosive hardcore record and I really hope you enjoy it.”

The record’s first single, a re-recorded version of “Overcome,” can be found below:

Todd Jones Plans To Continue Nails With New Members

Nails’ Todd Jones has officially commented on drummer Taylor Young and bassist John Gianelli’s departures from the band. The frontman said that he has already recruited new musicians and that they are currently working on a new album.

Here’s Jones’ full statement:

“Hey everyone I don’t really stop in to drop updates here as Nails is simply what people in the music industry refer to as “off cycle” and I believe it’s healthy for bands to … go away, for lack of better term, and return when they have something relevant to say which in Nails case, would be new music as we haven’t released anything in a few years.

With that being said, John and Taylor are not in Nails anymore and it seems like a good time to let you know that. With that being said, as people have been inquiring, the next point to address is the future of Nails.

This change happened months ago, so I’ve had time to get things together, work on our 4th album, and find musicians to play with. When we are ready to announce that info, we will let you know. John and Taylor without a doubt made their mark on Nails, which is beyond measure and personally I will always cherish the experiences and music we shared together. –Todd.”

Putney commented:

“To be honest I was initially torn about doing this. The distaste and rage I have for our systemic issues in this country are more palpable than they ever have been. But I am NOT the voice of the oppressed, and I would never pretend to be.

What I can do is sit down with my fellow artists, friends, peers, and heroes alike and start a conversation about what we CAN do to support institutions for positive change, because something HAS to change. And the money that will roll in from this event will go to the experts. The ACLU. The Civil Rights organization that has fought for the purest form of free speech, justice, and equality for ONE HUNDRED YEARS (let one hundred years sink in for a second). The work that they are heavily involved in today aims to tackle these systemic issues.

The artists who will appear on this livestream come from different corners of life, different upbringings, different tax brackets. Naturally, some people are more comfortable expressing their opinions and beliefs to the public than others. I ask that you do not expect fire and brimstone from everyone, and do not scorn those who’d like to have a lighthearted conversation about music. The act of participating and donating sought after items to a worthy charity should be enough for you to understand their intentions.

This raffle will be one for the books. Extremely rare items, tons of merch, test presses and limited vinyl, music gear, it goes on and on. A lot of those involved are bringing something special and I truly thank them for parting with sacred items.

The link is live to start donating now. We will be announcing more details and giveaways soon.

Max Cavalera said the following about the track:
