Putney commented:

“To be honest I was initially torn about doing this. The distaste and rage I have for our systemic issues in this country are more palpable than they ever have been. But I am NOT the voice of the oppressed, and I would never pretend to be.

What I can do is sit down with my fellow artists, friends, peers, and heroes alike and start a conversation about what we CAN do to support institutions for positive change, because something HAS to change. And the money that will roll in from this event will go to the experts. The ACLU. The Civil Rights organization that has fought for the purest form of free speech, justice, and equality for ONE HUNDRED YEARS (let one hundred years sink in for a second). The work that they are heavily involved in today aims to tackle these systemic issues.

The artists who will appear on this livestream come from different corners of life, different upbringings, different tax brackets. Naturally, some people are more comfortable expressing their opinions and beliefs to the public than others. I ask that you do not expect fire and brimstone from everyone, and do not scorn those who’d like to have a lighthearted conversation about music. The act of participating and donating sought after items to a worthy charity should be enough for you to understand their intentions.

This raffle will be one for the books. Extremely rare items, tons of merch, test presses and limited vinyl, music gear, it goes on and on. A lot of those involved are bringing something special and I truly thank them for parting with sacred items.

The link is live to start donating now. We will be announcing more details and giveaways soon.

Malevolence Premiere Music Video For “Keep Your Distance” Feat. Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris

Malevolence have premiered a new video for their new song “Keep Your Distance.” This track features Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris and it will appear on the band’s new EP “The Other Side,” which is set to be released on April 24.

Malevolence told Kerrang! the following:

“‘Keep Your Distance‘ encompasses the difficulty in making the decision to cut off those around you that bring nothing positive to your life. It was written about positive aggression; having the strength to remove and liberate yourself from any negative influence that you see fit – a sentiment that we believe everyone can relate to.”

They also added the following about working with Garris:

“Since the song is short and sweet, we wanted a high energy video that would truly capture the vibe and chaotic nature of our live performances. Bryan hit the studio to record his part a day or two before the tour started and jumped on stage to sing it with us every night with immediate effect.”

Bryan Garris Rejoins Knocked Loose On Tour

Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris has rejoined the band on tour. This news comes after he previously had to leave due to the death of a loved one.

Garris said the following

“We’re back. As of today Taylar and I officially rejoin KL on the road to finish out the disease tour with Sylar and Beartooth. I can’t put into words how forever grateful I am to Jayden, Miguel, Caleb, Kam, Oschie, Zach, Jeffery, Jerel, Jay, and anyone I might be forgetting for holding it down in my absence. You never expect to have to leave a tour in the middle but thanks to them I was able to go home and be the support I needed to be for Taylar. Also thank you to Kevin, PacSun, Isaac, Cole, and Tim for being patient and supportive throughout this entire situation.

A week ago we were faced with tragedy. But thanks to our team, band mates, and new friends, we were able to go home and be with family, and I was able to be strong for Taylar. Thank you for your patience.

Rest in peace Tiffany Tomerlin”

Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris To Miss Upcoming Shows Due To Family Emergency

Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris has exited the band’s current tour with Beartooth and Sylar due to a family emergency. He said the following:

“Knocked Loose has never been the kind of band to cancel or bail on something that we have booked, so that makes this message even harder to type. Two days ago I received some horrible news that required me to fly home. All that I can say right now is that it is a family emergency and we hope that you all understand that we never thought something like this would happen, it just did. So I will not be with KL for a while. With that being said, KL will not be canceling shows. They will be continuing with out me for now with the help of some friends on the tour. I would greatly appreciate your patience, and your support. I will be back as soon as I can.“

Varials Premiere “Empire Of Dirt” Music Video

Varials have premiered a new video for their song “Empire Of Dirt.“ This track features Knocked Loose‘s Bryan Garris and it appears on the band’s latest album “Pain Again.“ Vocalist Travis Tabron commented:

“‘Empire of Dirt’ is 100 percent centered around the idea of seeing the people born into the luck of having a constantly upward lifestyle, and realizing that all I am is the king of fucking rats. The king of dirt, the king of fools — take your pick. Even when I feel at the top of the world, it’s actually just the tiniest bit higher than the ground. Lyrically, it’s the fucking lowest point on the record.”

Stray From The Path Stream New Song “All Day & A Night” Feat. Bryan Garris (Knocked Loose)

Stray From The Path have premiered a new song titled “All Day & A Night” featuring Bryan Garris (Knocked Loose). This song is from their new album “Only Death Is Real,” which will be released on September 8.

Gideon Premiere New Song “Cursed” Feat. Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris

Gideon have premiered a new song titled “Cursed,” via Alternative Press. This song features guest vocals from Knocked Loose’s Bryan Garris, and it will appear on the band’s new album “Cold,” which is set be released on May 12.

Jake Smelley said the following:

“This song is about bad luck. We went through a streak where it literally felt like everything we did went wrong, and anyone we came into contact with experienced bad thing. We had a van get robbed at our guitarist [Tyler Riley’s] house, and we had a van also get robbed at our singer [Daniel McWhorter’s] house, and at the same time tons of things were going wrong in our personal lives.

Then we went on tour, and we had about $8,000 worth of stuff stolen from us in California, and in the same week we headed into Canada and totaled our van! When all of that happens, you feel like a black cat, in a way, and you almost don’t want to be around anyone in case it rubs off on them, too.”
