  • Insomnium Premiere “Arch Of The Sky” Music Video

    Insomnium have premiered a new video for their new song “Arch Of The Sky.” You can find that below. The track is from the band’s new album, “Netherworlds,” which will be released on October 16. Guitarist/singer Ville Friman commented on the single:

    “‘Arch Of The Sky‘ introduces a proggier side of the Netherworlds, featuring time signature changes and Insomnium‘s trademark blend of mellow passages and heavier sections. Lyrically, the song is inspired by Sámi mythology, in which celestial hunters pursue a deer across the arch of the sky in perpetual motion. According to the legend, if the deer were ever caught, the world would come to an end as the roof of the sky collapsed.”

  • Deafheaven Plan To Release New EP This Year

    Deafheaven are planning to release a new EP later this year. Guitarist Kerry McCoy said the following about that during a recent interview with Binaural:

    “It’ll be out soon. I don’t know if I can say when… Before the end of the year. It’s an EP, I can say that.”

    “This one is much heavier. It’s definitely the closest thing to black metal we’ve ever done.”

  • Slipknot Premiere “Arsenal” Music Video

    Slipknot have premiered a new video for their new song “Arsenal.” You can check that out below. The single serves as the band’s first new music since parting ways with Sid Wilson, Craig Jones, and Jay Weinberg. It also serves as the group’s first track with drummer Eloy Casagrande. Frontman Corey Taylor told BBC Radio 1’s Jack Saunders the following:

    “It pummels. It is absolutely a pummeling experience. One of my favorite things about it is it kind of encapsulates everything that we do. It’s got these great moments of hyperactivity, and then at the end, man, there’s this sublime drop that just makes it. It’s like we’ve got everyone by the hair, and we’re just going, ‘Go! Go!’ That, to me, sums up Slipknot completely.”

    “It was a dream to work on ‘Invader’ together with our hero Walter Schreifels at his studio in Upstate New York, and we’re still pinching ourselves that he co-wrote this song with us.     A memorial event has been anounced for the late Andy Williams (Atomic Rule, ex-Every Time I Die). The service will be held at Buffalo Riverworks in Buffalo, NY on September 27. Tickets and benefit merch can be found HERE. The following artists will be taking part in acoustic performances: Cave In‘s Stephen Brodsky and Adam McGrath, Four Year Strong‘s Dan O’Connor and Alan Day, and Circa Survive’s Anthony Green.
