Elder bassist Jack Donovan has been hospitalized with pneumonia. As such, he was forced to miss the band’s September 22 show in Portland, OR.
The group commented:
“IMPORTANT UPDATE REGARDING TONIGHT’S PORTLAND SHOW
Our bassist Jack has fallen seriously ill and has been hospitalized with pneumonia. After struggling the past week with illnesses and continuing to play, his condition took a turn for the much worse suddenly after arrival at Roseland Theater.
Doctors have advised him that had he not sought medical attention his condition could have become life threatening. He is currently hospitalized overnight.
We are so grateful that his condition is stable and he is getting treatment. With this extremely last minute development – literal minutes before doors – and with his blessing, we have decided the show must go on.
Tonight’s concert will doubtless be different but we hope for your understanding.”
