Black Sabbath To Release 50th Anniversary Super Deluxe Edition Of “Paranoid”

Black Sabbath will be releasing a 50th anniversary super deluxe edition of “Paranoid“ on October 9. The effort will be available as a 5-LP set and as a 4-CD set. Here’s a description of the vinyl set:

“PARANOID: SUPER DELUXE EDITION includes the original album, in addition to a rare 1974 Quad Mix of the album folded down to stereo, plus two concerts from 1970, from Montreux and Brussels, that are pressed on vinyl for the first time. The five-LP set comes with a hardbound book with extensive liner notes featuring interviews with all four band members, rare photos, and memorabilia, a poster, as well as a replica of the tour book sold during the Paranoid tour.”

Black Sabbath have posted a live video of “Paranoid” from their new live film/documentary “The End Of The End.” That movie features the band’s final show, which took place February 4, 2017 at the Genting Arena in Birmingham, UK, and it will receive a home release on November 17.

Black Sabbath Stream Alternate Version Of “Iron Man” From A Concert In 1970

Black Sabbath are streaming a live version of Iron Man” from a concert that took place in Montreux, Switzerland, back in August 1970. This particular version, which appears on the new super deluxe version of “Paraniod,” is special due to it containing alternate lyrics. You can read more about that over at Rolling Stone.
