It looks like surviving Nirvana members Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, and Pat Smear will be reuniting onstage once again during Cal Jam, which is set to take place on October 6 at the Glen Helen Regional Park in San Bernardino, CA. The rumors stem from a cryptic teaser Foo Fighters posted featuring “Serve The Servants” being played backwards along with footage from a reunion show the group played after the 2014 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame ceremony. That set featured various guests including Joan Jett and John McCauley (Deer Tick), both of whom are scheduled to appear at the festival. Novoselic‘s band Giants In The Trees will perfom as well. Furthermore, the teaser was retweeted by the Nirvana account adding fuel to the fire. This news comes after the former Nirvana bandmates reunited during Foo Fighters’ September 1 show in Seattle, WA.
Former Nirvana bandmates Krist Novoselic, Dave Grohl, and Pat Smear recently reunited to play a cover of The Vaselines‘ “Molly’s Lips“ during Foo Fighters’ September 1 show in Seattle, WA and some fans were apparently upset that they chose to perform without the late Kurt Cobain. Novoselic has since responded to the backlash in a hilarious tweet:
We tried to get a hold of him for this gig—as many times as we tried to contact Kurt, we couldn't get through. The phone just kept ringing & ringing. Kurt does not have email. In fact I have never emailed him in my life and I have been online since 1993. https://t.co/HTpvvhxzr1
