Filter To Release “For The Beaten” On 7 Inch Vinyl In March

Filter will be releasing their latest single, “For The Beaten,” on 7 inch vinyl on March 17. Pre-orders can be found HERE. Notably, the record’s b-side will feature “The Killing Field” from Richard Patrick’s new side project A Place To Kill.

Primus To Release New 7 Inch Vinyl Set “The Revenant Juke: A Collection Of Fables And Farce”

Primus are planning to release a new 7 inch vinyl box set, titled “The Revenant Juke: A Collection Of Fables And Farce,“ as part of Third Man Records’ “Vault Package” series. The effort will include six discs with individual sleeve artwork housed in a custom telescoping box. Fans that want the set will have to sign up HERE before midnight CST on July 31. Here’s the contents:

  • Disc 1: “John The Fisherman” b/w “Too Many Puppies” (on soft purple vinyl)
  • Disc 2: “Jerry Was A Race Car Driver” b/w “Tommy The Cat” (on bitter lime vinyl)

Arch Enemy To Release “Sunset Over The Empire” 7″ In May

Arch Enemy will be releasing a new 7″ single titled “Sunset Over The Empire” on May 20. The effort will come with two songs including the title track and “The Judging Eyes.” This news comes as the band are preparing to release their new album “Deceivers“ on July 29. Michael Amott commented:

“I am thrilled that we are releasing our next single ‘Sunset Over The Empire‘ not only digitally everywhere as usual, but also as a physical 7″ vinyl record. I’m a big fan of the vinyl format myself and I think this killer looking 7″ will be a nice collector’s item as it’s a limited run. The B-side is an instrumental we’ve never released before on a record, and the A-side is one of my fave tracks off our new upcoming album ‘Deceivers‘!”

Earth Crisis Finish New 7″ Release “Vegan For The Animals”

Earth Crisis have finished recording a new 7″ release titled “Vegan For The Animals.“ Frontman Karl Buechner said the following about the effort during a recent appearance on “The Meep Meep Podcast“:

“We’re 200% proud to be vegan straight edge and to write songs to this day that literally spell it out. We just did a 7-inch that’s getting released, hopefully, this summer and it’s called ‘Vegan For The Animals‘ and that’s the catch line for the song; nothing will ever change when it comes to that.”

Deadguy To Release “Body Parts” 7″

Deadguy will be releasing a new limited edition 7″ featuring songs that were recorded at Trax East Studios in 1994. The effort, which is titled “Body Parts,” is already sold out online, but it will be available at select retailers in Philadelphia and New York City on March 15.

The band commented:

“DEADGUY recorded five songs with Steve Evetts at Trax East studios in February 1994, three of which were pressed onto the band’s first 7” single, “White Meat.” The other two tracks, “Body Parts” and and early version of their stand-out track “Die With Your Mask On,” sat on a cassette given to Tom Bejgrowicz by drummer Dave Rosenberg in the mid-90s and are seeing the light of day for the first time ever.

The DEADGUY REUNION Service Manual Zine + “Body Parts” 7” Bundle — 248 copies of the 7” were pressed onto translucent SEAGLASS vinyl and exclusively bundled with a 28-page zine, signed and numbered by the photographer, featuring all-access photography by Tom Bejgrowicz of the band’s first-ever reunion show at the Decibel Magazine Metal & Beer Fest in Philadelphia.
“Body Parts” 7” — 240 copies of the 7” were pressed onto translucent YELLOW vinyl and are also available.

Limited quantities of both will be available in-stores at @creeprecordshop (Philly), @generationrecords (NYC) and @aditlrecords (Lancaster) on Tuesday, March 15th.”

Downset. Sign With Nuclear Blast Records

Downset. have signed a new deal with Nuclear Blast Records. With this news, the band have also announced that they are planning to release 7 inch vinyl pressings of their “Anger/Ritual” and “About Ta Blast“ demos this fall. Those efforts are also available digitally. Furthermore, a new album is set to be released this year as well.

Ghost & Volbeat To Release Tour Exclusive 7″ Featuring Their Metallica Covers

Ghost and Volbeat have announced a new 7″ single featuring their contributions to Metallica’s “Black Album” tribute record, “The Metallica Blacklist.” Ghost’s cover of “Enter Sandman” will appear on “Side G,” while Volbeat’s cover of “Don’t Tread On Me” will appear on “Side V.” Fans will be able to purchase the effort on crystal clear vinyl during Ghost and Volbeat’s upcoming co-headlining tour and it will be limited to 3,000 copies. There will only be 115 available at each date and the proceeds will be donated to Camp Aranu’tiq, Børne Cancer Fonden, and Metallica‘s All Within My Hands Foundation.

Amorphis To Release “On The Dark Waters” 7″ In January

Foo Fighters have announced that they will be releasing a “Re-Versioned” 7 inch as part of Record Store Day’s Black Friday (November 26). The effort will include a “re-version” edition of “Making A Fire” featuring members of The Dap-Kings, The Budos Band, Antibalas, the Tedeschi Trucks Band, etc. and a “re-version” edition of “Chasing Birds” featuring Ben Jaffe, Charlie Gabriel, Clint Maedgen, Walter Harris, Branden Lewis, Ronnell Johnson, etc.
