Doro To Release New Album “Forever Warriors, Forever United” In August

Doro will be releasing a new 24-song double album, titled “Forever Warriors, Forever United,” on August 17. The cover art was created by Geoffrey Gillespie and it can be seen below:

Doro commented:

“The cover and the title form a perfect unit. Just as it should be. It all fits perfectly in line with the songs, which also deal with some political themes. There are some big anthems on the album, countless heavy songs, as well as heart-warming melodies! The album is supposed to give you power and thus contains a lot of energy! On ‘Forever Warriors, Forever United’, there will be a lot of big rock heroes. Fans might be curious about the many awesome guest musicians involved.”

The first single will be a track titled “All For Metal” and it will feature various special guests. Doro added the following about that:

“It’s a great anthem — I think it could even top [WARLOCK’s classic track] ‘All We Are’ — and everybody’s singing on it. And this could be really, really good. It’s hooky like hell.”

It is also worth noting that guitarist Doug Aldrich (Whitesnake, etc.) and former Warlock guitarist Tommy Bolan both contributed to the effort, and that it will include a song dedicated to Lemmy Kilmister. That aforementioned track is called “Living Life To The Fullest.”

Doro To Release New Album In August

Doro has revealed that her new album will be released on August 3. She says the effort “is going to be a diverse album with many fast songs and countless metal anthems.”

The following was posted on Doro’s Facebook:

Finally – on 3rd of August, DORO will release their long-awaited new studio album!

The metal queen unveils: “The writing proccess of the album is done and we’re currently finalising the mixing. This new record is going to be a diverse album with many fast songs and countless metal anthems. To be honest, one of these songs could become the next ‘All We Are’!”

With this hit and her new album, the blonde metal angel + band are going to celebrate their 35th band jubilee on a huge world tour during late summer 2018! From November 16th onwards, DORO will perform once again in Germany and Austria (see all dates below).

What else can DORO tell about the upcoming album?: “The first song that I’ve written for the new album is a song dedicated to Lemmy. It’s called ‘Living Life To The Fullest’!”

Following the DORO tradition, there will be of course also another German song on the album. A midtempo track, dealing with a deep friendship, just as in ‘Für Immer’!

Amon Amarth, Kreator, Etc. Members To Guest On Doro’s New Album

Doro Pesch has revealed that her new album, which is set to be released in August 2018, will feature guest appearances from members of Amon Amarth, Kreator, and Sabaton members. They are all expected to sing on the same track.

Doro told SixX Strings the following:

“We will play the Wacken [Open Air] festival [next year], which is the biggest European festival — it’s awesome — and then the same day the new record will come out.”

“We will have some great guests. At the moment, I think the Scandinavian metal scene is so awesome, so we will definitely have one anthem where everybody is singing, from Johan [Hegg] from AMON AMARTH and Mille [Petrozza] of KREATOR and probably the singer of SABATON [Joakim Brodén]. It’s a great anthem — I think it could even top [WARLOCK’s classic song] ‘All We Are’ — and everybody’s singing on it. And this could be really, really good. It’s hooky like hell. And we have some other guests — great people. I can’t tell you too much, because when it doesn’t work out, then everybody would be so disappointed. But it’s all in the making right now, and, yeah, I promise a killer album. Many great guitar players as well.”
