“We were invited to take part in a 20th-anniversary collaboration project featuring guest artists on past songs. Five Finger Death Punch and BABYMETAL had performed at the same festival overseas back in 2015, so I was really happy thinking they might have remembered me from then. I sang Japanese lyrics inspired by and based on the original lyrics of ‘The End‘, and spent a lot of time experimenting to figure out what kind of voice would best suit such a deep, cool track.

My favorite part of the song is the flow from the section starting with ‘Negai o kakete’ right after the chorus into the break — I loved how my voice gradually got covered and engulfed by Ivan’s growl, which gave me chills. I hope listeners will enjoy that moment as well.”

  • VIMIC Premiere New Song “Parasite Persona”

VIMIC have released a new song titled “Parasite Persona.” You can check that out below. The band’s long-awaited album, “Open Your Omen,” will be available on October 3. The group will be celebrating the release of that effort and the life of their late drummer Joey Jordison (Murderdolls, ex-Slipknot) at the Teragram Ballroom in Los Angeles, CA on the same day. Notably, the concert will find the band joined by various guests including Luanna Demetto (Crypta), Ash Pearson (3 Inches of Blood), Chris Williams (Accept), Caleb Hayes, etc. Wednesday 13 (Murderdolls) will open. Vocalist Kalen Chase said the following about the single:

“The music of ‘Parasite Persona’ is a combination of violent mania and claustrophobic oppression. It presses into your temples and then throws you off of a cliff. When I first heard it, the lyrical theme hit me like a sledgehammer. It’s a not-so-gentle musing about complete societal, social and spiritual breakdown. As a music fan, sometimes I don’t want to listen to peaceful protest songs, or hopeful songs, or love songs. Sometimes, I wanna dive into the darkness and despair so that I can come out the other side. In summation, ‘Parasite Persona’ is heavy as fuck.”

  • Dead Air Divine Share New Songs “Breathing Underwater” and “Default“

  • Hail The Sun Share New Songs “Consumed With You” And “Blight”

Hail The Sun have shared two new songs, “Consumed With You” and “Blight.” Those tracks are from the band’s new album, “cut.turn.fade.back.,” which will be released on October 24. Frontman Donovan Melero said the following about “Consumed With You”:

“I saw her in the background when I was looking into the mirror. She had tears running down her cheeks due to the frustration she felt about her condition. I couldn’t stop thinking about how much I wish I could help, and our origin story which led to now, and how much I would crave the sound of her voice if I no longer could hear it. While it was only a portion of my view in the mirror, it’s all I could fixate on.”

He also added the following about “Blight”:

“Are we living in a reality constantly in flux? What if our names were all something else yesterday, and we never will know because we now are in another timeline. Another reality. Another simulation. How many are there? Do they intercept? Will we ever know?”

  • Rise Of The Northstar To Release New Album “CHAPTER 04: RED FALCON SUPER BATTLE! NEO PARIS WAR!!” In November

Rise Of The Northstar have announced a new album titled “CHAPTER 04: RED FALCON SUPER BATTLE! NEO PARIS WAR!!.” The effort will be released on November 14 and it can be pre-ordered HERE.

“CHAPTER 04: RED FALCON SUPER BATTLE! NEO PARIS WAR!!” Track Listing:

    01. “Turbo-Intro”
    02. “Payback”
    03. “Neo Paris”
    04. “Falcon”
    05. “Back 2 Basics” (feat. Landmvrks)
    06. “Under”
    07. “Pressure”
    08. “Nemesis” (feat. Aaron Matts)
    09. “A.I.R. Max”
    10. “Solitary Homeboy”
    11. “No Turning Back”
    12. “Desolation Hawk”
    13. “75 Outro”

The group said the following about the album:

“With this fourth album, we tried to surprise our audience while sticking to our DNA, by bringing something new without crucifying the old. The era of Shogun No Shi is over, please welcome the super Mecha Falcon, symbol of modernization of content and form, from the writing to the sound — Northstar is coming back!”

The effort’s latest single, “A.I.R. Max,” can be found below. Vocalist Vitia also commented on that:

“Attitude, Integrity, Respect… Taken to the max. That’s what my band is about, and that’s what we wanted to express in this track. ROTN have been around for over 15 years, and I’ve never changed my stance, never followed trends, never watered down our style to fit in. I respect my childhood dream: From the beginning, ROTN has been a mix of rap-metal-HxC with neo-Japanese imagery and it will stay that way. Radical since Tokyo Assault, everyone hands in the air: A.I.R! A.I.R!”

    Guitarist Eva-B added:

“While writing ‘A.I.R. Max,’ I wanted to go back to our roots, back to the ‘WelcAme’ era. Catchy, groovy riffs with a laid-back attitude. This track stands out from the first two that have already been released, and it’s here to remind everyone that even though our sound is evolving, the DNA remains the same.”
