During Parkway Drive’s September 21 show at the El Rey Theater in Albuquerque, New Mexico, the city’s mayor Tim Keller, who happens to be a metal fan, was given the opportunity to introduce the band. Sabaton (20th anniversary show), Parkway Drive, Demons & Wizards, Powerwolf, Airbourne, Rose Tatoo, Within Temptation, Meshuggah, Krokus, Dark Funeral, and Avatar have all been booked for the 2019 Wacken Open Air festival.
