Left Behind Share “Animal Crossing” Video For “No One Goes To Heaven” B-Side “Waiting For The End”

Left Behind have shared an “Animal Crossing” video for their new song “Waiting For The End.” This track is a b-side from the band’s latest album “No One Goes To Heaven.”

Zach Hatfield commented:

“It’s about loving playing music and being on tour with my band but missing that feeling when we first started touring eight years ago and everything was new to us. Like some of our very first tours were so loosely booked we’d be hopping on last minute shows because some of them cancelled and we’d just play whatever we could get on.

It’s also about missing out on things at home. I’ll be on tour for a month at a time for some of them and while I’m home I’m working most of the time. So I’m not going out as much and there’s tons of old places I used to go to closing down, new places opening up. Also friends and family having kids, getting married.

I love where we’re at now as a band and I’m very grateful to be doing the tours we’ve been doing. Honestly though, having this break has been great for my mental health. It’s great being able to take a step back and work on other personal goals I’ve been putting back for awhile now.

So in less words the song is about missing out. Whether it’s missing the craziness of our older tours or missing out on things in my personal life because I’m gone it doesn’t matter. The feeling stays the same.”

The Acacia Strain Release New EP “C”

The Acacia Strain have released a new EP titled “C.“ The effort comes with two new songs including “Crossgates” and “I Breathed In The Smoke Deeply It Tasted Like Death And I Smiled“ (feat. Left Behind‘s Zach Hatfield). You can stream those below and pre-order a 7” vinyl pressing of “C” HERE. Vincent Bennett commented:

“This is my personal favorite set of two, but don’t let that sway your opinion. Short and sweet meets long and depressing — the perfect combination. Zach from Left Behind was the obvious choice for ‘I breathed….‘ He added so much to the song and I’m happy he was able to. We are living hell.”

The Acacia Strain Cancel European/UK Tour

The Acacia Strain have cancelled their European/UK tour with Left Behind, Leeched and Mental Cruelty due to the coronavirus pandemic. The band commented:

“While all North American tour dates remain in place, we have some unfortunate news regarding our upcoming EU/UK tour. Due to the uncertainty surrounding potential bans on some public gatherings in the UK and Europe, we are obliged to cancel our upcoming tour overseas. Of course, we are saddened to make this announcement. Our goal will be to return as soon as possible, as scheduling and circumstances permit. Once again, all North American tour dates remain in place.”

Left Behind Premiere “Eternity Of Empty” Music Video

Left Behind have premiered a new video for their new song “Eternity Of Empty.” This track is from the band’s new album “No One Goes To Heaven,“ which will be released on Friday (November 15).

Zach Hatfield commented:

“I wrote ‘Eternity of Empty’ about growing up in church, being scared because I don’t understand what’s going on. It’s a scary place as a kid watching weird old men you don’t know telling you you’re going to Hell forever if you don’t follow the teachings they’re giving you. Left me with a lot of thoughts growing up like, ‘Well what if this is all real and I’m just a shitty person and not good enough for Heaven?’

There’s a sign on the side of the road on the way to my dad’s house that just says ‘GOD LOVES YOU, PLEASE DON’T GO TO HELL,’ Which always just made me feel so weird growing up. None of that resonates with me. It’s a bizarre thing looking back on it and while it can be good for some people, I never had a good experience with it.”

Left Behind Premiere New Song “Outside The Body”

Left Behind have premiered a new song titled “Outside The Body.” This track is from the band’s new album “No One Goes To Heaven,“ which will be released on November 15.

Zach Hatfield commented:

“I wrote that song thinking about how tiresome it is just to do basic tasks. Whether I’m overthinking the stress I’m going to have from work, or anxiety from talking to people, I get stuck in my head having the same thoughts over and over again. Sometimes I even zone out until someone says my name.

I think about things I’m ashamed of that happened years ago. Things that really shouldn’t be as big of a deal as I make them to be but it’s hard to stop thinking the way I do.

I have goals I set for myself whether that’s in music or my personal life, but this feeling of dread and a lack of inspiration keeps me from achieving a lot. Might just sound like I’m lazy but there’s a lot more going on in my head than just not being motivated.”

Left Behind Premiere New Song “Peeling Wax” Feat. Kublai Khan’s Matt Honeycutt

Left Behind have premiered a new song titled “Peeling Wax.” This track features Kublai Khan’s Matt Honeycutt and an official video for it can be found below. The band’s new album “No One Goes To Heaven“ will be released on November 15.

Zach Hatfield commented:

“All the songs have different meanings, some were inspired by how I’m still recovering from things that happened a couple years ago with some of the stuff I wrote about on the last album. ‘Peeling Wax‘ in particular was about a conversation I had with Matt (from Kublai Khan) during the first tour we did together.

To sum it up, he told me he connected with what I say, that he felt like he was alone in a lot of things he experiences and our music was like a light in the darkness he felt. We became a lot closer friends over the last couple years and I decided to write the song about that same loneliness we feel. It was only right to feature him on the track.”
