Bloodbath Share Music Video For “Putrefying Corpse” Featuring Napalm Death’s Mark “Barney” Greenway

Bloodbath have premiered a new video for their song “Putrefying Corpse.” The track, which features Napalm Death’s Mark “Barney” Greenway, appears on the band’s latest album “Survival Of The Sickest.” Vocalist Nick Holmes commented:

“The process of human life with a soul and humility, to eventual death, as nothing but rotting meat for vermin.”

Bloodbath Premiere New Song “No God Before Me”

Bloodbath have premiered a new song titled “No God Before Me.” This track is from the band’s new album “Survival Of The Sickest,“ which will be released on September 9. Vocalist Jonas Renkse commented:

“‘No God Before Me‘ is a slow, churning hymn of death, a description of a godless afterlife as well as a massive nod to the masters of sickness themselves: Morbid Angel.”

Bloodbath Premiere New Song “Carved” Featuring Gorguts’ Luc Lemay

Bloodbath have premiered a new song titled “Carved.” This track features Gorguts’ Luc Lemay and it will appear on the band’s new album “Survival Of The Sickest,“ which is set to be released on September 9. Jonas Renkse commented:

“If you’re a subject to human experiments performed by the sickest surgeon, you may not have the time to suffer a thousand deaths, but one thing is for certain: YOU’RE CARVED.”

Drummer Martin “Axe” Axenrot’s Departure From Opeth Was Reportedly Related To His COVID-19 Vaccination Status

It appears Martin “Axe” Axenrot’s departure from Opeth was related to his refusal to get vaccinated for COVID-19. The news was confirmed by Paradise Lost vocalist Nick Holmes, who performs with the drummer in Bloodbath.

Holmes told Blabbermouth the following when asked about Axenrot’s current status in Bloodbath:

“He’s still in the band as far as I’m aware. I haven’t seen him for three years, maybe more. Waltteri’s [Väyrynen, PARADISE LOST] been playing drums with BLOODBATH more than Axe has in the last couple of years.”

He also added:

“I mean, [Martin] was working with OPETH prior to the pandemic, so he decided to take a backseat to the live shows and Waltteri did the [BLOODBATH] live shows ever since. He’s still in [BLOODBATH]. The whole pandemic — he didn’t want to get the vaccine, so that caused issues with travel and touring with OPETH when they started to go out again six months ago. That caused them issues there. It’s come over to BLOODBATH for sure.”

Bloodbath Premiere “Zombie Inferno” Music Video

Bloodbath have premiered a new video for their new song “Zombie Inferno.” This track is from the band’s new album “Survival Of The Sickest,” which will be released on September 9. The group commented:

“One man’s struggle to rid the World of Zombie Infestation that seems to have inconveniently taken over the planet. Particularly, as he’s just refueled his 1969 Dodge Super Bee 440.”

“Survival Of The Sickest” Track Listing:

01. “Zombie Inferno”
02. “Putrefying Corpse”
03. “Dead Parade”
04. “Malignant Maggot Therapy”
05. “Carved”
06. “Born Infernal”
07. “To Die”
08. “Affliction of Extinction”

Pre-orders for the record can be found HERE. Notably, Mark “Barney” Greenway (Napalm Death), Luc Lemay (Gorguts), and Marc Grewe (ex-Morgoth) will be guesting on unspecified tracks.

Bloodbath & Dismember Drop Off 2022 Maryland Deathfest, Autopsy & Demolition Hammer Added

Bloodbath and Dismember have dropped off the 2022 Maryland Deathfest. Autopsy and Demolition Hammer will be taking their places. As previously reported, the festival will be held in Baltimore, MD on May 26-29.

Festival organizers said the following about this latest development:

“It sickens us beyond belief to have to post this, but both Dismember and Bloodbath are no longer playing MDF.

…As you can see, in both instances, this is entirely out of our control. We understand how disappointing this news will be for many of you and we can certainly relate, as this is the absolute last thing we wanted to have to post in the 11th hour before the fest finally transpires.

Despite the short notice, AUTOPSY are now playing on Saturday at Edison Lot, and DEMOLITION HAMMER are now playing on Friday at Edison Lot.

We understand that emotions will probably be running high over this news, but we personally don’t have time to dwell on it, as we, along with all of our staff, are working tirelessly to welcome the 91 bands that are still scheduled to play at MDF in just 2 weeks, so we can’t lose sight of that.

Quite a few foreign bands that are due to play MDF are already in the US, and we know that all of the other foreign bands meet the requirement to enter the US and aren’t dealing with visa issues. While there’s always a possibility for something unexpected to occur, we feel like this is the worst of the news that we’ll need to drop on you…”

Dismember also commented:

“Due to the Covid-19 restrictions still active for entering the U.S., we are forced to cancel our appearance at Maryland Deathfest this year. We held our hope that the U.S. would follow other countries example and end the mandatory vaccination demand. With less than a month to go “that” has not happened and therefore we see no other choice than to cancel.”

Bloodbath previously issued a statement regarding this cancellation and the postponement of their North American tour as well:

“First of all, this is an announcement we hoped we would never have to make… But now left in anger and frustration, we are unfortunately forced to postpone our North American tour and our appearance at Maryland Deathfest, yet again.

Despite applying for our visas over seven months ago (a process that should take three), they have still not been processed in time due to reasons beyond our control. We’ve done absolutely everything we can to try and salvage this bullshit and make this tour finally become reality, but we have to accept our fate at this point, that it will simply not happen.

Given that this is the third time this tour has had to be postponed, we both feel and share your disappointment, but we assure you that despite the hardships associated with this tour, we have not given up and consequently will reschedule the dates as soon as we’re able to rid the bureaucracy and lift this curse of delusion.

Until then, stay safe and stay strong and we hope to see you all sooner than later.

Refunds for all the club shows will be available from your point of purchase.”

Bloodbath Sign With Napalm Records

Bloodbath have signed a new worldwide deal with Napalm Records and are currently working on new music. The band said the following about that:

“Just as we’re about to enter our next exciting chapter of Bloodbath, we’re pleased to say that the band is in the good hands of a new label. By joining forces with the mighty Napalm Records, Bloodbath will proudly make sure our old school death metal continues to pummel onwards and upwards. Let the Napalm rain!”
