Pro-Pain Premiere New Song “Scorched Earth”
Pro-Pain have shared a lyric video for their new song “Scorched Earth.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Stone Cold Anger,” which will be released on May 15. Frontman Gary Meskil commented:
“‘Scorched Earth‘ explores what happens when ordinary people are pushed to their breaking point. Drawing inspiration from films such as the 1990s Michael Douglas drama ‘Falling Down‘, the lyrics examine how pressure, frustration, and a sense of powerlessness can build over time. The song speaks to themes of reckoning, consequence, and the desire for genuine accountability.”

Ville Valo On HIM: “I Would Love To Play With The Lads Again”
During a recent interview with Metal Hammer, Ville Valo expressed interest in a hypothetical reunion with his band HIM. The frontman says he “would love to play with the lads again someday.”

Despite this, he did note that he hasn’t “really been in touch with them much.” He continued:
“But I miss those fellows. They are my brothers. But there’s also beauty in the fact we didn’t strangle each other at the end, or start travelling in separate limos. So there is that to be said. I felt it was the right way to bury the corpse. HIM was and is my life. It was very hard to let go of that.”
He also added the following about their breakup:
“The bittersweet thing about it was that we were still good friends, we’d just grown apart. In regards to the farewell tour, it was nice to play when we had a finite date that it was going to end. By setting the end date first, you don’t have to have reserves. Every night felt like it was our last in a way.”

Polaris Recruit Miss May I Bassist/Vocalist Ryan Neff For Spring North American Tour
Polaris have recruited Miss May I bassist/vocalist Ryan Neff for their North American tour with Electric Callboy and Scene Queen. He will be filling in for Jake Steinhauser, who is sitting out the trek “to be present for his family during some health concerns.”

Polaris commented:
“Polaris friends and family, we are so excited to finally be back across the pond to support @electriccallboy on the TANZNEID NORTH AMERICA TOUR! We’ve very much missed partying with our American brothers and sisters, and we are counting on you to welcome us back with open arms and loud voices!
Unfortunately our brother @jakesteinhauser has had to make the difficult decision to stay home for this run in order to be present for his family during some health concerns, which is something we fully support. With that said, we are very lucky to have our good friend @whosryanneff of @missmayiband stepping up to fill his shoes on bass and vocals for these shows.
We will miss having Jake on stage with us, but we are very confident to be in safe hands with Ryan lending his expert talents to our camp for this run around his home country. We know you’ll make him feel welcome in the Polaris family and we can’t to bring you some killer sets. See you soon!”
