Roman Candle have premiered a new song titled “This Band Has Led Me To Places I Wouldn’t Go With A Gun.” You can check that out below. Vocalist Piper Ferrari commented:
“This song came out of everything that happened last year—personally and with the band. We took a step back to write and figured out what Roman Candle really means to us, and in that time I realized how much I just couldn’t let anything go. The lyrics — ‘It’s like walking a tightrope / The world beneath me and that feeling in my stomach’ — pretty much sums up that feeling of trying to hold it together while everything’s spinning ‘This Band Has Led Me to Places I Wouldn’t Go with a Gun‘ is about tension, pride, and refusing to quit even when it feels impossible. We poured everything into this one, and now that it’s out, we’re more excited than ever to get back on stage. Playing these new songs live feels like taking our power back.”

Slipknot turntablist Sid Wilson has launched a new label called Vomit Face Records. The company’s first release will be a new self-titled album from Lil Bushwick, the son of the late Bushwick Bill (Geto Boys). That effort will be available on October 31 and its first single, “Take It Back,” can be streamed below. The roster also includes J57, DEAD X HEDZ, Rome Fortune, Ricardo Grimm, and Mars Black.
Wilson said the following about the label:
“Vomit Face Records is about tearing down the walls. This is for the artists who don’t fit in and never wanted to. It’s rebels in motion that unapologetically stand out. It’s to celebrate imperfection, people making real art out of the mess in a world that rewards fake.
It’s where the sound, hard work and spirit collide and no one can tell you how to look or feel. Real art isn’t pretty, it should stir something slightly uncomfortable and break down those walls to create something new inside of you. It’s a place for the misfits to have a voice and a place to make their own.”
He also commented on signing Lil Bushwick:
“Bushwick Bill and I had made a promise to each other to make an album. After several roadblocks in scheduling, Bill sadly, and unfortunately, passed away due to illness most were unaware of. In meeting his son and discovering that he too was a music artist, I made a promise to the spirit of the great Bushwick, that I would fulfill our pact by producing an album for his son. We did just that, and through the help of a dear friend DJ Lethal, we were able to add an unreleased track of Bill‘s, and I’m proud to say, we made the impossible possible for this iconic hip-hop lineage of father and son.”
Lil Bushwick added:
“Being able to collaborate with my pops six years after his passing brings me a different type of joy. Hearing his voice again speaking life and expressing himself just as I remembered takes me back to the simpler times. I know he’d be proud of how I approached each verse my own way. He was always big on being yourself and I’ll forever be that. Long live Chuckwick 4L.”
During their recent live shows, Dark Tranquillity have been paying tribute to Tomas Lindberg with a cover of At The Gates’ “Blinded By Fear.” You can see fan-filmed footage of that from their October 14 show in Lund, Sweden and their October 18 show in Gothenburg, Sweden below:
Sacred Reich have parted ways with drummer Dave McClain. For now, Eduardo Baldo will be filling in.
The group commented:
“Dave McClain is no longer a member of Sacred Reich. We wish him the best.
Our friend Eduardo Baldo will be playing the Hatebreed shows with us in November in Europe. We thank him for jumping in on such short notice.
We are excited for this new chapter in Sacred Reich history. We are finishing up our new record “Into the Abyss” that will be released in the Spring of 2026 on Metal Blade Records.
