• Orbit Culture Premiere “Bloodhound” Music Video

Orbit Culture have premiered a new video for their new song “Bloodhound.” This track is from the band’s new album “Death Above Life,” which will be released on October 3.

    The group commented:

“‘Bloodhound‘ is probably the angriest song we’ve written to date. We’ve always been somewhat reluctant to use explicit language in our music — maybe out of habit, maybe out of respect, I honestly don’t know. But when that opening riff came to life, it just had this raw, primal energy that demanded something more. The song sounded furious from the start, and to match that intensity, we knew it was time to break our own rules and let the anger speak freely.

The lyrics came together faster than almost anything we’ve done before. It was like this outburst — a childlike hammering of aggression onto the page. Usually, we try to keep ourselves in check, to polish things a bit. But this track is the 1% of the time where we didn’t. Where we couldn’t.

‘Bloodhound’ is about anger — at people, at situations, at an industry that often exploits the very people trying to make it within it. It’s about the cycle of revenge, the moments of acceptance, and then the anger flaring up again because nothing really changes. This song is about reclaiming your voice, your power, your worth. It’s about calling out the bloodsuckers, the manipulators — and making sure they don’t get to take from you anymore.”

  • Pennywise Share Cover Of Motörhead’s “Ace Of Spades”

Pennywise have shared a cover of Motörhead’s “Ace Of Spades.” That track will appear on the upcoming tribute album, “Killed By Deaf – A Punk Tribute To Motörhead,” which will be released on October 31. Pennywise guitarist Fletcher Dragge commented:

“Getting into punk rock around 1980, basically the only metal band that was allowed to be part of the punk rock scene was Motörhead, as far as I was concerned. If you saw somebody show up in a jean vest with the Motörhead patch on the back, it was, like, ‘There’s a metaller, but he can hang with us!’ ‘Ace Of Spades’ was the track where you heard that and went, ‘That’s not metal. That’s punk rock!’”

  • Ink & Dagger To Reissue Their Catalog, Announce First Live Shows In 14 Years

Ink & Dagger have revealed that they are planning to reissue their entire catalog through Trust Records. With this news, the band have also announced their first live shows in 14 years. Those concerts will take place at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia, PA on October 30 to November 1.

Further information was shared in a press release:

“From 1996 to 1999 Philadelphia’s Ink & Dagger burned like a roman candle, blurring the lines between punk, hardcore, and psychedelia, an enigma wrapped in rumors, vampire lore, and blood-spattered theatrics. Equal parts chaos and prank, their ever-shifting all-star lineup fed on the energy of others and spit it back out as something entirely their own.

Controversial, influential, and long out of print, their complete legacy has finally risen again. Trust Records is proud to announce their partnership with Ink & Dagger to reissue their entire discography via three stand alone LPs: Drive This Seven Inch Wooden Stake Through My Philadelphia Heart, The Fine Art of Original Sin and Ink & Dagger. All audio was painstakingly remastered by David Cooley (M83, Tame Impala, Jimmy Eat World). Each of the three albums will be in stores and available across digital platforms for the first time ever on October 31.

In addition, a deluxe edition box set titled Ink & Dagger: The Complete Works has been announced. This version includes the three stand alone albums, plus a fourth LP titled Experiments in Nocturnal Sound and Energy: Singles 96-99. Writer Erik Bader authored the insert / book, titled ‘The Almighty’. The box set was designed by visual artist Jeremy Dean and is limited to 500 copies. Ink & Dagger: The Complete Works ships March 2026.

LP 1: Drive This Seven Inch Wooden Stake Through My Philadelphia Heart – Includes Ink & Dagger’s first two EPs and one bonus track. It’s the first time ever this collection is available on vinyl as it was originally released only as a CD in the 90s. The Dagger’s blistering origin story, including such iconic tracks as “The Changeling”, “Frigid Shortcomings”, “The Road to Hell”, and “Full Circle”.

LP 2: The Fine Art of Original Sin – Ink & Dagger’s first LP. Originally released in 1998, The Fine Art of Original Sin saw Ink & Dagger pushing the boundaries of genre into uncharted territory. A psychotic blend of punk, hardcore, electronica and full-throttled rock and roll, Fine Art showcased the Dagger at their absolute peak.

LP 3: Ink & Dagger – Originally released posthumously on Buddyhead in 2000, this was the Ink & Dagger’s final form and statement, a murky, swirling, psychedelic soundscape that defied all category, a cryptic preview of a future that never came.

LP 4: Experiments in Nocturnal Sound and Energy: Singles 96-99 – *This LP will only be included in the physical box set and is a compilation of B sides, singles and splits. A sinister showcase of the band’s various modes and methods, exploring the furthest perimeters of structure and sound.

Ink & Dagger: The Complete Works – Deluxe Edition Box Set – Split across four separate LP releases, Ink & Dagger: The Complete Works collects the entirety of the band’s four years of furious output, all together for the first time.

Earlier this week, Ink & Dagger unveiled a billboard in Philadelphia teasing today’s news alongside a short film shot and directed by guitarist Don Devore titled “The Order” [see below.] Today Ink & Dagger are thrilled to announce a trio of hometown performances at Philadelphia’s First Unitarian Church happening over Halloween weekend, October 30, October 31 and November 1. Each night the band welcomes support from Paint It Black (October 30), Deadguy (October 31) and Soul Glo (November 1). Tickets are on sale Friday, October 3 at 10AM Local.

In celebration, Ink & Dagger have shared the remastered audio for revered single “Full Circle” alongside a video directed by Brian Balchak which includes unseen footage by Joe Burns and images from the box set’s book.

In 1996 Philadelphia hardcore stalwarts Sean McCabe (Crud is a Cult, Mandela Strike Force) and Don Devore (Frail, The Icarus Line, The Lilys) drew up a maniacal manifesto for a new kind of band, a century-ending statement that would push underground music beyond the confines of genre and into something completely new.

It was to be an unholy marriage of punk and hardcore that blended theatrics, mischief, and occult mystique, launched through a coercive campaign of misinformation and misdirection. They mixed myth and metaphor, presenting rock & roll as a psychic vampire that obtained immortality by stealing energy and making it their own.

Their ranks were filled out by an ever-rotating cast of Philadelphia’s finest, including members of Guilt, Prema, Frail, Dave Wagenschutz (Lifetime, Kid Dynamite, Paint it Black), Gregg Foreman (Delta 72, Cat Power), Eric Wareheim (Elements of Need, Tim & Eric), Josh Brown (Crud is a Cult, Lenola), and Jennifer Layne Park.

For four years they operated tirelessly, from the chaotic blister of their first 7” records, the frenetic sleaze of their first LP, to the dense psychedelic swirl of their final posthumous album.

During what was supposed to be a temporary hiatus for the band, frontman Sean McCabe died in 2000 at the tragic age of 27. As in life, so in death, the story was forever shrouded in mystery, putting an unfinished capstone to a short-lived but brightly burning legacy that never faded.

For decades the band and their long out of print discography existed only as legend, prized by collectors and shared among enthusiasts. Tales of their decadent, debauched tours continued to circulate like sinister scripture.

Their lasting impact continues to reverberate; they remain a band’s band. That legacy lives on within every single individual who was privy to witness their incendiary performances. Those who were there were forever changed. An incredibly disparate bevy of bands were launched directly as a result; bands as notable as American Nightmare, Thursday, The Murder City Devils, Botch, AFI, and My Chemical Romance have all cited Ink & Dagger as a core influence.

The shock and awe of Ink & Dagger’s bloodthirsty barrage is as relevant today as it ever has been. A caustic keystone of hardcore history, these re-releases present a portal to the past, while continuing to pave the way forward into a wilder, more feral future.”

  • Lamb Of God Premiere “Sepsis” Video

Lamb Of God have premiered a new video for their new song “Sepsis.” You can check that out below. Guitarist Mark Morton said the following about the single:

“’Sepsis’ is a celebration of the very underground local bands here in Richmond that we really admired when we were just forming Burn the Priest. Bands like Breadwinner, Sliang Laos, and Ladyfinger—though they never got widespread attention outside of Richmond, those were the bands we listened to all the time. The song references that stuff in a way that’s a direct line to where we were coming from when we were in the basement writing our earliest material together.”

  • Forbidden Premiere “Mutually Assured Dysfunction” Music Video

Forbidden have premiered a new video for their new song “Mutually Assured Dysfunction.” You can check that out below. The band commented:

“‘Mutually Assured Dysfunction’ is our aggressive follow-up to ‘Divided By Zero.’ Like a hook to the brain, it lands hard. It’s about the DNA of endless arguments that our world leaders engage in. Sound bites over substance. This rationale is based upon the M.A.D. agreement of Rational Actors: A doctrine that assumes world leaders will be rational and self-preserving. Therefore, they will avoid any actions that would lead to their own country’s demise. This leap of faith leads to the kind of dysfunction that will ultimately lead to our destruction as a species.”

  • Judas Priest To Begin Recording New Album In 2026

Judas Priest are planning to start the recording process for their next album in 2026. Bassist Ian Hill confirmed the news during a recent interview with Audio Ink Radio.

    Hill said the following:

“There’s plans to go back into the studio in the new year. So when it’ll be released, I don’t know. It’s a long process. We’re in no rush either, so it’ll be a while. But the recording is gonna happen, it looks like, next year.”

He continued when asked if the band have been writing material on the road:

“I know [guitarist] Richie [Faulkner] has. He’s got quite a few ideas together, yeah. So we’ve got a head start there.”

He also added the following about touring plans:

“Well, that’ll happen as well. Obviously, if you have an album, you have to go out and tour with it. So, yeah, that’ll happen too.”

  • Saxon’s Biff Byford Shares New Health Update: “I’ve Done The Chemo Now And I’m Gonna Be Getting Fit Now”

Saxon’s Biff Byford has shared a new health update amid his battle with bowel cancer. The frontman says he has completed chemotherapy and will now focus on getting fit.

    Byford said the following:

“Hi, it’s Biff here from SAXON. I wanna give you an update. So, yeah, I’ve done the chemo now. And, yeah, I’m gonna be getting fit now, ride the bike.

I’m doing some vocals for the new album and, yeah, rehearsing for the [SAXON U.K. tour], which starts in Belfast. — I think it’s on the beginning of November, 3rd or the 4th of November. We’re gonna be doing the ‘Wheels Of Steel’ album complete, obviously, in the set, with a lot of other songs as well, obviously.

Udo [Dirkschneider and his band DIRKSCHNEIDER] is gonna be doing ‘Balls To The Wall’, the ACCEPT album, a brilliant album. So he’s gonna be doing that completely. I think TYGERS OF PAN TANG in Newcastle are gonna do a special setlist. And we’ve got a new band called UNTAMED SILENCE with us on two shows, Manchester and Sheffield. So, yep, it’s gonna be great. We’re looking forward to it, and we’ll see everybody there.

A few tickets left in some shows, so get your tickets bought, and come on. Peace and quiet.”

  • The Devil Wears Prada Premiere “Eyes” Video

The Devil Wears Prada have premiered a new video for their new song “Eyes.” This track is from the band’s new album “Flowers,” which will be released on November 14.

    Keyboardist/programmer Jonathan Gering commented:

“‘Eyes‘ is about coming to a point in life where you start to question the reality of what you once believed. It captures the feeling of wanting to break away from something that has only worked against you and the struggle to find a new way to move forward.”

    Guitarist/vocalist Jeremy DePoyster added:

“‘Eyes‘ is a song about desperately yearning for answers, wondering why you keep ending up in the same place without a clear path forward. When you’re caught in a wave of anxiety and the things you’ve been taught are of little help, you’re desperate for clarity and hope.”

Sonically, this song is a journey, contrasting between tight melodic verses and fuzzed out riffs. It’s an anthem for when you need the validation that no one has the answers. We’re all just doing our best.”
