“Let’s Give The Land Back To The Animals” Track Listing:

    01. “Rat Poison“
    02. “Cave Dwellers“
    03. “Pity Party“
    04. “Basic Karate“
    05. “Posture Contest“
    06. “Everything Must Go“
    07. “High Street“
    08. “7-11“
    09. “Fine Powder“
    10. “Here Comes The Chisel“

    Vocalist Tim Singer commented:

“On some of these songs, I let myself explore some dark thoughts in my head. It’s not your typical belligerent music because there’s a lot of open space; it feels like it’s a bit more sinister.”

    Drummer Jeff Tirabassi continued:

“On our first record I feel like we were all trying to get our feet underneath it, but on this one we really wanted to lean into the groove.”

    Singer added:

“On a fanboy level especially for us old heads, it scratches that Jesus Lizard itch; a little bit of exploring a lane over there instead of the typical lanes. There’s a lot in that post-hardcore lane that we all love that I don’t think is explored enough … or at least not by the right people.”

  • Metal Church’s Kurdt Vanderhoof Has “Nothing Negative To Say” About His Former Bandmates

Metal Church guitarist Kurdt Vanderhoof has issued a statement regarding the band’s decision to move forward with a new lineup. Despite the change, the guitarist has “nothing negative to say about” his former bandmates.

    Vanderhoof said the following:

“Hey friends! As with any band, sometimes things just stop working and you have to move-on, no matter what the cost and no matter what people are going to say or think about you, including former bandmates. It’s just that simple.

I am continuing to do what I’ve been doing since I formed Metal Church 46 years ago, writing albums and releasing music. If you love that, great, if not, that’s ok too. If you love any of the former band members, that’s also great, then go support their musical endeavors and be thankful for new music. I personally have nothing negative to say about them, I wish them all the luck.

I’m just happy to be where I am at now, with great musicians that I respect and I look forward to performing live with. That’s all I have to say about it.

    Cheers, Kurdt!”

This news comes after former singer Marc Lopes recently opened up about his departure from the band, calling the situation “pretty disgusting.”

    Aoki commented:

“This remix album is about taking ‘HiROQUEST 3: Paragon’ into another dimension. Each track has been reimagined to push the energy even higher and give fans something totally new to experience. Collaborating with so many incredible artists and DJs made the whole project feel alive from start to finish. I wanted to make this one extra special, so I teamed up with Hoobastank and Sound Rush to rework ‘The Reason.’ We turned it into this massive moment that’s been going off in my sets, and I’m so excited to finally share it with the world.”

    Hoobastank added:

“We’ve always been fans of what Steve has done and continues to do. He’s such an iconic DJ and incredible performer. When the opportunity arose to collaborate with him it just seemed like a no brainer to us. Combine that with Sound Rush’s unique style and sound designing talents. It just gave us a rare chance to have one of our songs reimagined and shared with an entirely new audience. One that we honestly never dreamt of reaching.”

  • I Am Mook Premiere “Smoke Detector” Video

I Am Mook have premiered a new video for their new song “Smoke Detector.” This track is from the band’s new EP, “Hollow Allegory,” which will be released on February 6.

    The group commented:

“It’s mind-blowing to us the heights we have reached through our hard efforts after being a band for just over a year now. Our chief songwriter, Todd Holbrook (guitarist), is constantly writing and always striving to make harder and harder hitting riffs with every release – the ‘Hollow Allegory’ EP is no exception.

We collaborated with producer Brace McKnight to bring about a heavier tone with a huge emphasis on low end in our guitars, bass and a snare drum where the ping is king. We are absolutely thrilled to be signed to such a reputable record label like Seek and Strike. This band has been knocked down continuously since its formation, but through persistence and consistency, we are finally reaching heights we thought would take us years to reach.

We are incredibly grateful to every fan who takes the time to listen and share our music. We are astonished and humbled at the amount of strangers loving our sound. With this upcoming EP, expect to hear crushing tones with a sound that is nothing short of brutal. We firmly believe this is our heaviest work yet and the crazy part is that we are just beginning our journey.

The music video for ‘Smoke Detector,’ was shot by Justin Oakley and was a vision that stemmed from the song’s lyrics. Ultimately, this is a song about friends who are back-stabbers and the fake brotherhood within the scene. The video emphasizes that heavily with the backstabber being tied to a chair and being mercilessly beaten. Even the song’s title is a direct call out to fakes in the scene. The song is heated, hateful and brutal.

In addition to the vision behind the music video, the shoot itself was indeed also brutal. We shot this music video on December 9th in the dark of night, deep in the woods, for over 5 hours in 28 degree weather. The ground was incredibly wet and muddy. In the end though, we would not have been able to get such incredible and steamy shots without the brutal cold.

A lot of camaraderie and a lot of laughs were shared during the video shoot and we couldn’t have asked for a better outcome (a huge thank you to Justin Oakley for directing, shooting and editing the video and also to Jay Price, who took pictures throughout the whole shoot).

We’re a band that likes to write about whatever we feel like writing about. We also ‘toe the line’ between humorous and serious. This EP has a song called ‘WGIA,’ which is about stereotypical ‘White Guy’ activities, and another called ‘Confabulated,’ which is about dementia. Holbrook’s mother tragically succumbed to the disease this past year. Writing a theme throughout an EP or album is not out of the question though, and we will likely attempt to do so at some point.

If you are listening to us, the three words that come to mind are breakdowns, blast beats, and growls. Bands that we look up to are mostly from the MySpace era and influence our writing process are bands from this era such as, Chelsea Grin, Suicide Silence and Whitechapel, etc. Additional bands that aren’t from this time-frame include Psycho-Frame, Larcenia Roe, Heavy Hitter, Body Snatcher, Traitors, Immortal Disfigurement, 9 Dead, Signs Of The Swarm and Gutrectomy, etc.

We are incredibly thankful to work for such a wonderful group of fans. Thank you for listening and now with Seek And Strike we are going to be able to bring you music more frequently. It’s on and thanks for the support.”

  • Incubus Singer Brandon Boyd Explains New Album Delay

Incubus singer Brandon Boyd has taken to social media to offer an update on the band’s new album. According to him, the effort was delayed so the band could add more to it.

    Boyd said the following:

“I’m thinking back on the year 2025 and I’m almost dizzy from its oscillations between agony and ecstasy. For some reason I sense many of you had similar experiences in 2025. The agonies have given rise to so much new art though, as soon to be demonstrated in our recently completed (again) new album. It’s a long story but we went back into the studio to write and record more after thinking we were done.

The ecstasies almost speak for themselves in the form of so many wonderful nights spent singing with so many of you around the world. I’ll pop back in soon and update you on when new music will be ready to share. Sending you all so much love and hope and may this new year be one of continued transformation and celebration. Happy New Year, Friends!”
