“I came from a broken home and society has a way of turning its back on people like me. I watched my mum along with some very strong women in my life sacrifice everything to keep their families above water. That strength helped build me into the man I am today. The video also serves as a homage to those mothers who have lost their children to the harsh realities of our world. I wanted to honor them and the thousands like them because a mother’s love is a force to be reckoned with. This goes out those warriors in our lives.”

Fire From The Gods Premiere New Song “Soul Revolution”

Fire From The Gods have premiered a new song titled “Soul Revolution”. Singer AJ Channer commented:

“Over our last two tours in the states and Europe, I’ve noticed a different look in the audience’s eyes. It seems to me that we desperately need a change and are on the brink of a revolution, not in the violent sense but a restructuring of ideals, realigning our hearts and minds. I believe the real revolution begins in the soul. This song is our battle cry, our call to unite. We’re excited for fans to hear our new music and can’t wait to share more soon. This is just a taste of what’s to come.”

Fire From The Gods Premiere New Song “SOS”

Fire From The Gods have premiered a new song titled “SOS.” Vocalist AJ Channer commented:

“With life comes challenges and some of those challenges can seem insurmountable. When we reach said point it can feel like we’re drowning. Unfortunately, there may not be someone there to save us. We have to save ourselves. This song speaks that truth, but it is one part of a larger story of self realization and discovery.”

Fire From The Gods Team Up With From Ashes To New’s Matt Brandyberry For New Version Of “Victory”

AJ Channer commented:

“These last 2 years have been tough on so many. I can talk until I’m blue in the face about how much we missed out on not being able to tour. We want to give ‘American Sun’ a proper send off. What better way than with ‘Victory.’ Big up to Matt of From Ashes To New for hopping on and blessing the track with his unique take on the song.”

Richie Wicander added:

“The new visual speaks to one of the biggest goals we have with making music – to speak to the human experience and call for connection. We wanted to use the visuals from social and political protests and natural disasters in my homeland of Germany, and Italy, to show that as a collective we are battling something and are in this together. We need to push forward and have perseverance. We will overcome. We will have our victory – together!”

The group commented:

“’American Sun (Reimagined)’ is a reflection of what we’ve all been through this past year. We originally dropped the album on an arena tour with an exciting, busy year of touring and promo ahead. Sadly, the world shut down a few short months later and we just never felt this album got the full life it deserved. ‘American Sun (Reimagined)’ is our love letter to this album; now we feel a little more complete and ready to create what’s next.”

Fire From The Gods Premiere “Break The Cycle” Video

Fire From The Gods have premiered a new video for their song “Break The Cycle.“ This track is from the band’s latest album “American Sun.“

The following was said about the video in a press release:

“Fire From The Gods’ AJ Channer could not sit on the sidelines for one more day. When the world erupted in protest of the killing of George Floyd, he set out right away for Minneapolis. No better time than now to enact the philosophy supported by the lyrics of the songs on his band’s album, AMERICAN SUN, which was recorded in early 2019, well before this call to action heard worldwide. A song fully representative of that line of thinking is their single “Break The Cycle”, which revealed its stunning visual counterpart today.

The video for “Break The Cycle” (directed by Wombat Fire) is a story of support for people fighting to not have to fight anymore. It is the story of generations of struggle experienced by BIPOC all over the world. Footage from Channer’s trips to Minneapolis and Atlanta make their way into the video with additional protest coverage from the media and the proverbial fire started by the movement.”

It’s worth noting that all of the footage from Channer’s travels will also appear in a new docu-series. The press release also added the following about that:

“The moving footage takes you to the streets of Minneapolis and Atlanta days after the murder of George Floyd, focusing on why the system is set up to fail while investigating how we can change that as one united body. AJ interviews protestors on the ground, community leaders and other local artists to showcase the power of strength in community, and how we, as a country, can move forward. A written narrative on what he learned from his travels will be released on Friday.”

This news comes after the band streamed a live show on soundrink.live earlier today (June 18) to raise money for EmbraceRace.
