Undeath have signed a new deal with Relapse Records. The band’s new album will be released through the label later this year.
Vocalist Alexander Sason commented:
“It’s time to unveil the next chapter for Undeath: We’re honored to announce that we’ve signed to Relapse Records. Relapse is a label every member of this band has admired and respected since we were young metalheads obsessing over Necrophagist and Dying Fetus, and for our band to now be a part of that amazing history (and such a badass roster full of bands we love) feels like a dream actualized.
Our fourth album is recorded and in the chamber. We’ll have more details on that a little later, but for now just know that our fastest, darkest and most straight up evil record to date is on the way, and Relapse putting it out just feels right.”
Live Nation will be launching their “Summer Of Live” event on April 29. The promotion will offer fans $30 tickets for various shows. This includes concerts from Guns N’ Roses, Iron Maiden, Five Finger Death Punch, Avenged Sevenfold, Mötley Crüe, Breaking Benjamin, Evanescence, Deep Purple, Godsmack, Rob Zombie / Marilyn Manson, Motionless In White, Staind, Shinedown, 311, and more.
Skindred have shared footage of their recent Planet Rock live session. The set found the band performing “You Got This,” “That’s My Jam,” and a cover of Eddy Grant‘s “Electric Avenue.”
On April 1, Nevermore’s new lineup, guitarist Jeff Loomis, drummer Van Williams, vocalist Berzan Önen, guitarist Jack Cattoi, and bassist Semir Özerkan, took the stage for the first time at the IF Performance Hall Beşiktaş in Istanbul, Turkey. You can find official footage of “Dead Heart In A Dead World” and “Sentient 6” from that set below:
Van Halen singer David Lee Roth has revealed that he has sold his publishing catalog. The frontman told Associated Press the following about that:
“I sold my publishing eight months ago. Ask me how I feel… [I feel] rich. [Laughs] For the first time in my life I can rub two coins together and create a little interest. No, really.”
Heathen have shared a new cover of Psychosis’ “Twist Of Faith.” You can check that out below. Notably, Heathen’s Kragen Lum and Jason Mirza were members of Psychosis. The band commented:
“Let’s keep things rolling with new music for 2026! ‘Twist Of Faith’ is another early 1990s-era song that we gave the Heathen treatment. Demo collectors may have heard the original Psychosis recording of the song (with Kragen Lum on guitar and Jason Mirza on bass), but we’ve added some new elements and taken it to the next level! We have another 15 songs in various stages of production right now so enjoy the ‘Never A God’ 12″ maxi single with ‘Twist Of Faith’ and get ready for the new album (and more).”
Bob Daisley, Graham Bonnet, Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Carmine Appice, and Don Airey have shared their reinvented take on Rainbow’s “Long Live Rock ‘N’ Roll.” That track is from the new Rainbow tribute album, “Ride The Rainbow – The Ultimate Tribute To Ritchie Blackmore’s Rainbow,” which will be released on June 19. Appice commented:
“I always liked ‘Long Live Rock ‘N’ Roll.’ It had a Cactus boogie, easy for me to play…it kicked ass then and now!”
Thal added:
“I heard the Rainbow ‘Rising’ album as a kid and became a lifelong Rainbow fan! It’s a great honor to play on this song and to pay tribute to this historic band.”
Armored Saint have premiered a new video for their new song “Hit A Moonshot.” This track is from the band’s new album, “Emotion Factory Reset,” which will be released on May 22.
Members of the band commented:
Singer John Bush:
“It’s like you knocked something out of the park. I use a lot of sports analogies because I love sports. Sports IS entertainment…’Hit A Moonshot’ is inspired by the people who keep landing on their feet. Like, no matter what the fuck this person does… Some people just get lucky. This applies to anyone. And landing on your feet is commendable. So, I’m busting balls, but I’m also giving accolades. Sometimes people can do that all the way to their grave. Then there are other people who are so good or talented or creative, and they struggle forever. I don’t think life is balanced all the time, and I don’t think it’s fair.
It has a ferocious riff, cool tempo changes, scorching leads, huge chorus with lots of backing vocals. We love Queen and The Sweet! It’s a cool breakdown with an epic ending. Once again, it sounds just like Armored Saint.”
Bassist Joey Vera:
“The intro riff is an echo of a memory from age 17 when I was in a garage band in Los Angeles. After I came up with this new version, the familiarity of it revealed itself once I stood back and listened. The riff is very different from the original one but there’s no doubt the feel and vibe has stuck with me ever since then. I added a half-time feel to the chorus to steer the arrangement away from predictability. It feels like classic Saint to me.”
Guitarist Jeff Duncan:
“I think the song defines what Armored Saint sounds like now. I used my Les Paul and an EVH amp for the rhythm guitars on everything. My solos were done with a couple different guitars; it’s simple, just good guitars plugged into a good amp and let it rip.”
