Armored Saint Announce Livestream Concert

Armored Saint will be celebrating the release of their new album “Punching The Sky” (out October 23) with a special virtual concert. The show will stream live from the Whisky A Go Go in Hollywood, California on October 10 and tickets can be found HERE. The band will also be answering some questions from fans who submit them on Facebook. The group commented:

“We are very excited about our new record ‘Punching The Sky’, and we’d be pleased if you’d join us in this virtual show to help celebrate the release date. In these strange times where none of us can go to see live music anymore, this is the closest thing we can do about that. We will be on stage, cranking it out as we always do. We will certainly be missing seeing all of you in the venue, but we hope you’ll rock out with us in the comfort of your own homes!”

Armored Saint Premiere “End Of The Attention Span” Video

Armored Saint have premiered a new video for their new song “End Of The Attention Span.” This track is from the band’s new album “Punching The Sky,” which will be released on October 23.

Joey Vera said the following about the video:

“We’ve teamed up with video director Robert Graves for our first single, ‘End of the Attention Span.’ Robert got the lyrical content right away and together we delved into society’s ongoing fascination with electronic devices and the insidious disconnect it creates. The irony is that most of us feel connected together through our phone and computer screens, but the reality is that we have created a wedge between ourselves. Our human interactions have been infected with an intense need for information. We’re always ‘looking’ for more. The end result is a very damaged attention span.”

He also added the following about the album:

“The goal is to write really good music. I know I’m stating the obvious here but that’s about the size of our agenda. We’ve been able to shed a lot of expectations that sometimes plague a band like ours that has been around a long time, and we’ve recently moved into a comfort zone with just being ourselves. We have this kind of freedom now that we didn’t really have early in our career, and we can take some chances and make the kind of music that we want to hear. This record is a reflection of where we are at, right now.”

John Bush continued:

“When you’re a band that began four decades ago, you really have to push yourself harder than ever when it comes to making a new record. The last thing you ever want is for it to appear as though you were going through the motions or that you’re just putting a product out to do some touring. The records are immortal. They’ll be here long after us. Every one needs to count in its own individual way.”

Armored Saint Share Quarantine Performance Of “Isolation”

Armored Saint have shared a quarantine performance of “Isolation.” You can see footage of that below. This version of the track is also available in digital outlets.

Joey Vera commented:

“Like everyone else right now, we’re trying to make the best of the situation. So we decided to have a little fun with one of our older songs. It was fun playing with a stripped-down version of ‘Isolation’; lyrically and sonically, it just fit for the times. Be safe everyone and enjoy your ‘Isolation’!”

John Bush added:

“With live shows in a sad state of limbo, we decided to come together (yet apart) and revisit the song ‘Isolation’ from the 1987 ‘Raising Fear’ record. We did an acoustic, swampy take on it. It was a fun, raw project.”
