Chad Gray (Mudvayne, HELLYEAH) has cancelled two California shows due to illness. This includes dates in San Diego and Santa Ana.
Gray commented:
“Metal Kids,
If you saw the Aftershock show, you know I was having a tough one. I’ve been dealing with some deep vocal issues, and then that day I got sick and was completely on my ass.
I’m already dealing with enough shit right now, and I need to take some time to rest so I can protect my voice, my health, and hopefully keep this tour going.
I’m so incredibly sorry to my Metal family in San Diego and Santa Ana, but I’m going to have to cancel these shows. It absolutely breaks my heart. I don’t want to do this, but I truly believe it’s the better decision for all of you and for me.
Hopefully, we can get back there soon and replay the shows the way they’re supposed to be played.

SepticFlesh guitarist Christos Antoniou is sitting out the band’s immediate live shows due to broken ribs. The band issued the following statement:
“A quick update before we hit the road. Unfortunately, due to a fall, Christos suffered fractured and broken ribs and will need some time to recover. We will take the stage as a three-piece, while Christos focuses on his recovery with the aim of rejoining the band later on the tour. Our North American tour with Arch Enemy, The Black Dahlia Murder, Crypta and Thrown Into Exile kicks off on October 5th, with the first stop in Riverside, California. See you on the road!”
Brother’s Keeper are planning a vinyl pressing of their “You Can’t Kill Me” compilation. That effort features 11 re-recorded tracks and it is currently available digitally. Vinyl pre-orders will launch on October 6.

“Who would have thought ‘Moving Mountains’ would turn into what it did? A simple concept for a song that turned into one of the coolest collaborations I’ll ever be a part of.”
Cooper added:
“Cody is an interesting guy. I really like him. He is a bit of an outlaw and outsider in my mind, but he’s first and foremost a really good songwriter. I kind of gravitated towards the idea of working together because we had these things in common. My character is also kind of an outlaw and definitely an outsider, but the music has always come first. We always make sure the songs are great. I’ve always thought it would be interesting to work with a country rock songwriter and Cody really fits in with that idea of quality accessible songwriting that still has a bit of an edge.”
