Watch Exodus Perform “The Toxic Waltz” With Former Singer Rob Dukes In Phoenix

During their September 9 show at Van Buren in Phoenix, AZ, Exodus were joined onstage by their former singer Rob Dukes for a performance of “The Toxic Waltz.” You can see fan-filmed footage of that below:

Exodus Guitarist Gary Holt: “I’m Convinced, And Have Been For Decades, That There’s More Than One Lemmy”

Gary Holt (Exodus) and more have shared some of their Motörhead stories with Banger TV as part of a promo video for the recently released Motörhead tribute album “Löve Me Förever: A Tribute To Motörhead.” Humorously, the guitarist says he believes there was actually “more than one Lemmy.”

Holt said the following:

“I’m convinced, and have been for decades, that there’s more than one Lemmy, or at least there was.

We [in EXODUS] used, back in the day, to squander more money on tours. When we did a European tour, we insisted that we had to spend a week in London first — to acclimate to the time change. Basically, it was us partying like fucking animals for five to seven days.

This was when Lemmy still lived in England and London. And we’d go out to a bar and there’s Lemmy. We’d go up and hang out [with] him, do some drugs or whatever and have some drinks. [We’d tell him] ‘We’re gonna go to this other place.’ ‘All right. See you guys later.’ And we’d get there and he’s already sitting at the bar; I mean, he’s been there for an hour. And then we went to another place and he’s there ahead of us, and we left him sitting at the bar. And ever since then we’re convinced that there’s at least three different Lemmys, ’cause he couldn’t possibly have done it. But, you know, Lemmy is God, so…”

Guitarist Lee Altus To Sit Out Exodus’ European Tour, The Black Dahlia Murder’s Brandon Ellis To Fill In

Exodus guitarist Lee Altus will be missing the band’s upcoming European tour. During his absence, The Black Dahlia Murder’s Brandon Ellis will be filling in.

The band commented:

“Exodus regretfully announce that Lee Altus will not be joining us on our upcoming European tour. Family concerns dictate he remain close to home and being so far away from home is not possible. Exodus stand strong with Lee and will destroy in his behalf, and he will rejoin us for the upcoming tours such as the fall leg of The Bay Strikes Back.

We stand behind our brother in everything and he will be back! Joining us on this trek is none other than Brandon Ellis of The Black Dahlia Murder, so let’s welcome him like one of the Exodus family!

Brandon is one of the sickest guitarists alive and he is going to kill it for certain! See you soon in Europe and the UK!”

Ellis added:

“I am beyond grateful for the opportunity to get on stage with the legendary dudes of Exodus and crush some open air fests and clubs this July and August. I wish Lee the best and will cover his stage right post with honor and respect!”

Exodus Drummer Tom Hunting: “Thanks To Science, They Can’t Find Any Cancer In Me Right Now”

During a recent interview with Pamela Calderón of Chile’s iRock.cl, Exodus’ Tom Hunting further opened up about his battle with squamous cell carcinoma of the stomach. The drummer, who previously underwent a total gastrectomy, said the following:

“I’m so grateful to the metal community. It’s a powerful force to have those vibrations behind you. Thanks to science, the medical science, they can’t find any cancer in me right now. So that’s awesome. They did surgery [last] July the 12th, and I’m adjusting to a new lifestyle — a different type of relationship with food. But life is good. I don’t have to get any more chemotherapy ’cause they got it all. So that’s an awesome thing. They turned a bad situation around for me, so I’m very grateful. I don’t even know how to thank everybody. There’s no words to say how important [everybody’s support] is. Fortunately, though, I get to live and say thanks to everybody.”
