Have BABYMETAL Revealed Their New Member?

It looks like BABYMETAL may have found a replacement for Yuimetal, who officially exited the group last year. During the band’s June 30 set at the Glastonbury Festival in the UK, Su-Metal and Moametal took the stage with Riho Sayashi of the Japanese pop group Morning Musume. According to Kerrang!, Sayashi also performed with the band at Yokohama Arena in Japan earlier this month. However, it is still unclear if she will become a permanent member. In other news, BABYMETAL also performed two new songs at the festival including their latest single “PA PA YA!!” and another unknown track. Both songs are expected to appear on their new album “Metal Galaxy,” which is set to be released on October 11.

Phil Anselmo Says He Doesn’t Feel Like Doing Superjoint Anymore, Discusses Possible Down “NOLA” 25th Anniversary Shows

During a recent interview with Metal Underground, Phil Anselmo offered some updates on Superjoint and Down. The singer says he doesn’t feel like doing Superjoint anymore and that Down may do some “NOLA” 25th anniversary shows next year.

Anselmo said the following:

“I don’t really feel like doing Superjoint anymore. With Down, we’ve got the 25th anniversary coming up of ‘NOLA‘ [in 2020], so I would expect to do some gigs there. But also it needs to be respected that Pepper is doing C.O.C.; Jimmy‘s really been doing a lot of Eyehategod as well; and Kirk is doing Crowbar. And that’s one thing: if we do anything for the 25th anniversary of the ‘NOLA‘ album, I want Kirk in the band. I don’t wanna interrupt anybody’s life. If we do something, it’ll be a couple of shows here and there, maybe a special thing.”

Down have been inactive for several years due to Anselmo‘s infamous “white power” chant and Nazi salute at the 2016 Dimebash. The frontman has since apologized for the incident numerous times and more recently called it an “off-color joke.”
