Angerot Premiere “Bastard Creature” Music Video

Angerot have premiered a new video for their new song “Bastard Creature.” The track, which features guitars from Sammy Duet (Goatwhore) and Jack Owen (Six Feet Under), is from the band’s new album “The Profound Recreant,” which will be released on March 24.

Guitarist/vocalist Chad Petit commented:

“This song was actually nearly fully written and demo’d when we did the Divine Apostate album. I just felt I needed to flesh it out vocally a bit more, so I am glad we took our time with it. The concept for this one started with our modern global situation… modern media and modern liars.

We live in a time when headlines and singular comments matter… not the real story or the facts. If we live in this type of world now, then chances are, we have prior. The nature of those with power and influence have defined humanity since the beginning of time.

So that said, what if the angel Gabriel lied. What if Gabriel announced the opposite of what he was instructed to do, only to benefit himself? What if it wasn’t God’s child to Mary, but Lucifer’s? Gabriel knew he would be elevated among the followers of God and no matter the cost, he would become the Great Deceiver by announcing the birth of Christ as the son of God and not as the birth of the Bastard Creature. Headlines… what’s one little lie to the people?

As for the video, it was a bit spontaneous. We worked with Sammy Duet as a guest on the track and Jason and Bill have a long-standing relationship with him spanning back to the early 90s and Acid Bath. They were all involved in an Acid Bath tribute show which Sammy flew in to be a part of. We figured we may as well shoot a video for ‘Bastard Creature’ while he was here. I always wanted to do a video with fire… so this song was very fitting and the fall weather was perfect for it. This shoot was a ton of fun. We just kept it simple… beers, friends and good times.”

Goatwhore Premiere “Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven” Music Video

Goatwhore have premiered a new video for the title track of their latest album “Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven.“ Frontman Louis B. Falgoust II commented:

“The basic laws and rules guided by simple aspects of good and evil and the emotional/mental journey in which people would have to traverse them. Life is simple, but very complex when coming to the relationships of numerous people together and their paths crossing. The idea was spawned from delving into my own idea behind the relationship of Judas and Jesus, reading various writings on the topic, from the basic ones we all have heard to the forbidden concepts like the Gospels Of Judas. It’s also about the idea of doing something you may think is positive or beneficial, but it only ends up putting you in a more negative foundation, and this abstraction can send a person into a very dark place. Life around you begins to crumble and the thoughts become more askew. The title is more of a metaphor embracing this idea.”

Goatwhore Premiere New Song “Death From Above”

Goatwhore have premiered a new song titled “Death From Above.” This track is from the band’s new album “Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven,” which will be released on October 7. The following was said about the song in an official press release:

“’Death From Above,’ is loosely based on the ‘Nachthexen,’ or Night Witches, a group of female Soviet aviators in a bomber division deployed in 1942, a period during which women were in fact barred from combat.”

Sammy Duet added:

“It’s an atomic blast of old school blackened death thrash for your asses. Beware the Night Witches…”

“Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven” Track Listing:

01. “Invocation 3”
02. “Born Of Satan’s Flesh”
03. “The Bestowal Of Abomination”
04. “Angels Hung From The Arches Of Heaven”
05. “Death From Above”
06. “Ruinous Liturgy”
07. “Victory Is The Lightning Of Destruction”
08. “Voracious Blood Fixation”
09. “The Devil’s Warlords”
10. “Weight Of A Soulless Heart”
11. “Nihil”
12. “And I Was Delivered From The Wound Of Perdition”

Vocalist Louis Ben Falgoust II commented:

“I would describe this record as being very raw, but clarity is shaped within the chaos. It’s a journey of everything we’ve done and some new approaches as we advance forward. When we write, we mainly focus on the music and what we enjoy about playing it. We don’t write just to appease others. We want to enjoy playing it in a live setting as well, especially night after night on the road.”

He also added the following about the title:

“It’s a basis of human despondency, the arc of life, and its relationship with the personal abyss of overwhelming emotion and thought. It’s a mixture of esoteric ideas and biblical scripts and the journey to the places some people care not to venture on mental paths… The rise and fall of the self and how the abyss can be a turning point for some and a passageway to oblivion for others. It’s blunt and to the point, just like countless aspects of life.”

A video for the effort’s first single, “Born Of Satan’s Flesh,” can be found below. Guitarist Sammy Duet said the following about that:

“Prepare yourself for an unabashed violent onslaught of Satanic unsoundness of mind! All hail his Luciferian force and might!”

Falgoust added:

“Welcome to the manifested curse of our latest offering. During the past five years since our ‘Vengeful Ascension‘ release, entwined with a state of isolation within that period, we have been communing with our inner abyss for inspiration. Idle time is truly the Devil’s workshop. Feast your eyes (and ears) on this latest display of chaos, which is but a fragment of our impending full-length release out in October!”
