Curtis Beeson (Ex-Nasty Savage) Battling Brain Tumor, GoFundMe Launched

Curtis Beeson (ex-Nasty Savage) has sadly been diagnosed with a brain tumor. The news was confirmed by Obituary, who set up a GoFundMe for the drummer. You can donate to that HERE. Obituary bassist Terry Butler commented:

Obituary, Municipal Waste, Etc. Set For “Metalcade 2020” Festival

Obituary, Municipal Waste, Exhorder, and Nasty Savage will be performing at the “Metalcade 2020 …And Justice For Brawl” festival in Tampa, FL during “WrestleMania” weekend. The event will take place at Cigar City Brewing on April 4.

Richard Bateman (Nasty Savage) Passes Away

Nasty Savage bassist Richard Bateman has sadly passed away at the age of 50. His death was the result of a heart attack. R.I.P.

The band commented:

“It is with deep sadness to announce Richard Bateman has passed away today [September 5] . We are all devastated. God Bless his family God Bless Richard Bateman. RIP Brother”

Guitarist David Austin also issued his own statement:

“My longtime friend Richard Bateman has passed away from a heart attack, absolutely devastated, extraordinary bass playing that he did with nasty Savage especially penetration point, I can’t even put it into words, absolutely devastated. I hope the metal community will surround his family with open arms and give them the comfort that they need at this moment and time, I’m completely shocked. Love you Richard may he rest in peace, genuine loving person and extraordinary bass player to say the least”

Fozzy, Obituary, Etc. Members Join Forces In Blood Divisions

Chris Jericho (Fozzy), Dave Austin (Nasty Savage), Ralph Santola (Obituary etc.), Terry Butler (Obituary etc.), Greg Gall (Six Feet Under), Bill Owen (Purgatory), John Mahoney (Fester), and Ben Meyer (Nasty Savage etc.) have joined forces in a new band called Blood Divisions. The band will release a self-titled EP, featuring covers of Scorpians’ “Top Of The Bill” and Nasty Savage’s “The Morgue” on August 28, with a portion of the proceeds going to Rock & Rescue.
