Extinction A.D. Release New Covers EP “It’s About Time That We Had A Change”

Extinction A.D. have released a new covers EP titled “It’s About Time That We Had A Change” via Bandcamp. That effort features the band’s takes on Dead Kennedys’ “When Ya Get Drafted,” TSOL’s “Superficial Love,” D.R.I.’s “Reaganomics,” Adolescents’ “Who Is Who,” and Youth Brigade’s “It’s About Time That We Had A Change.” Rick Jimenez commented:

“Early 80’s American hardcore is one of, if not my favorite era of music. I’ve always wanted to pay homage to it. Doing it through the lens of Extinction A.D. was not just a lot of fun, but put focus on how much things haven’t changed since the Reagan era of the united states.”

Thy Art Is Murder Cancel North American Tour With Fit For An Autopsy, Enterprise Earth, Etc.

Thy Art Is Murder have cancelled their headlining North American tour due to the coronavirus pandemic. The trek, which was also set to feature Fit For An Autopsy, Enterprise Earth, Aversions Crown, Une Misère and Extinction A.D., was supposed to kickoff yesterday (March 12).

Thy Art Is Murder commented:

“North America:

We are very saddened to bring the news to you today that this leg of the Human Target tour is cancelled, effective immediately.

We will keep you up to speed with future plans as more information becomes available, but given the sudden circumstances it may be some time before we can begin to make a financial recovery and commit to extensive touring options.

All of your favorite bands, now more than ever, need your support. The best and fastest way you can do this is by picking up a shirt from one of their online stores. These sorts of funds are the ones that pass through to a band the fastest and will help to keep them going through this down season, a roof over their family, and food in their children’s mouths.

We understand this infectious plague is spreading rapidly and negatively affecting more of us each and every day. We encourage all of you to look after yourselves properly, maintain hygienic practices and social distances, and pay attention to all governing and medical advisories.

We’re so sorry, we feel like we’ve let you all down but there’s nothing more we can do.

All our love, TAIM 🖤”

Despite this, the band are planning to move forward with their European tour in June:

Extinction A.D. Premiere “In The Wake Of Uprising” Music Video

Extinction A.D. have premiered a new video for their song “In The Wake Of Uprising,” via Kerrang!. This track is from the band’s latest album “Decimation Treaty.“

Rick Jimenez commented:

“I think we’re on a very slippery slope with limiting human rights. It’s getting to the point where that balance of freedom and security is getting really crazy, making sure people live in fear.

As humans, we have to be vigilant. We need to have inherent rights. Then, we dispute what counts as such, but we’re heading towards a 1984 lifestyle, and it’s getting scarily close.”
