Extinction A.D. have premiered a new song titled “They Live, They Die.” You can check that out below:
Vocalist/guitarist Rick Jimenez commented:
“I always view underground music as something pure. A place for expression, exchanging ideas and community. Still after all these years, though, when I encounter people who abuse that and use it for self-serving reasons or some hierarchical status, it drives me into a rage. Blatantly exploiting people on any level sucks, but especially within the world of heavy music. There’s a big fat line between socializing and social climbing, and the fakes always expose themselves in the end, no matter how many times they try to rewrite history.
We started writing this song by jamming on a riff one night at the end of a practice, and once I got back home and plugged my guitar back in, the rest of the song kind of wrote itself. It unintentionally became a bit of ‘everything XAD does’ in one song. Some pseudo melody, choruses, shredding, thrash, and face-smashing mosh. One-hundred percent intensity.”
