The Ronnie James Dio Stand Up And Shout Cancer Fund will hold the fifth annual Ride For Ronnie motorcycle ride and concert on May 5. The ride will start at the Harley-Davidson store in Glendale, CA, before heading up the highway at 11AM PT to the Los Encinos Park, where riders will be greeted with music, a raffle, silent and live auctions, food trucks, and more. Among those performing will be BulletBoys, Sadie & The Tribe, a Dio tribute band called Dia, Budderside, a Tom Petty/Johnny Cash tribute band called Petty Cash, DC4, and Eddie Trunk’s all-star band, which will feature Ricky Warwick (Black Star Riders), Robbie Crane (Black Star Riders), Keith Nelson (ex-Buckcherry), Dewey Bragg (Kill Devil Hill), Sean McNabb (ex-Dokken, etc.), Simon Wright (ex-AC/DC, etc.), Jerry Montano (ex-HELLYEAH, etc.), Ace Von Johnson (Faster Pussycat, L.A. Guns), Johnny Martin (L.A. Guns), Joey Scott (Lizzy Borden), Jimmy Burkard (West Bound, etc.), Chas West (West Bound, etc.), Randy Rhoads’ brother Kelle Rhoads, Nikki Lane Taylor, and Gregory Alan Coates. The whole event is being put on to raise awareness and funds for cancer prevention and research for a cure.

Steven Adler Recruits Extreme, Lynch Mob, Etc. Members For Adler’s Appetite

Steven Adler (ex-Guns N’ Roses) recently announced that Constantine Maroulis (“American Idol”, “Rock Of Ages” fame) would be fronting the newly formed Adler’s Appetite, and now it appears the rest of the lineup has been confirmed. It will include: Extreme’s Carl Restivo on rhythm guitar, Lynch Mob’s Sean McNabb on bass, and Fastback’s Michael Thomas on lead guitar. The band will be performing at the Whisky A Go Go in West Hollywood, CA on May 10, before heading out on an Australian tour. Summer festival appearances and a fall tour are being planned as well.
