Anthrax’s Joey Belladonna Is “Working On Some Recordings” With His Journey Tribute Band

During a recent appearance on “The Johnny Dare Morning Show,” Anthrax frontman Joey Belladonna offered an update on his Journey tribute band Joey Belladonna’s Beyond The Band. According to him, the group are currently “working on some recordings.”

Belladonna said the following:

“We’re working on some recordings so we can be like a normal band and put stuff up on the site — maybe do a video. We’ve got interest in playing shows. We’re just trying to figure out when and how, that kind of thing. The band’s still together. We record at home. Everybody’s all in different places at the moment. We only did one show, so we can’t wait to do it again, ’cause it’s gonna be fun.”

He also added:

“People ask why the hell I do it. I just like the songs. I’ve liked the band forever. And I just wanted to do it because I think it’s a cool challenge and it’s just fun music. I can’t think of many bands that I’d like to do a whole evening of without trying to dress up and do everything they do. We just wanna be a band that plays that music. I don’t care about the whole lookalike-type stuff. It’s just about music. That’s really all it is.”
