  • Wage War Announce “IT CALLS ME BY NAME” EP, Share “SONG OF THE SWAMP” Music Video

Wage War will be releasing a new EP, titled “IT CALLS ME BY NAME,” on April 17. The effort will feature the following tracks: “SONG OF THE SWAMP,“ “4×4,“ “BLINDFOLD,“ “KARMA,“ and “PURIFY.” A video for “SONG OF THE SWAMP” can be found below. The band commented:

“‘IT CALLS ME BY NAME’ is about being drawn to your roots. This isn’t a concept EP but is meant to live in its own world. Five tracks shaped by Florida, the swamp, and the relentless aggression of nature. Built heavy, but still driven by the hooks that have defined us. It’s our signature sound amplified and pushed further into metal than we’ve ever taken it. The tone setter, ‘SONG OF THE SWAMP’ is rooted in where we’re from. Driven by Florida and the raw aggression of nature, it’s a heavy track built on tension and hostility.”

  • Roman Candle Release New Song “Lady Lazarus”

Roman Candle have released a new song titled “Lady Lazarus.” You can stream that track below:

    Vocalist Piper Ferrari commented:

“‘Lady Lazarus‘ is me confronting misogyny head-on and refusing to shrink for anyone. The title comes from the Sylvia Plath poem, and like her, I’m pulling something powerful out of something painful. Lines like ‘Tender when I wanna be / Callous when I have to be’ came from recognizing how women are expected to bend, soften, or apologize just to exist – but also how we learn to harden ourselves for survival.

When I sing ‘Give me your dead stare, I eat men like air,’ it’s not about hating men – it’s about reclaiming the space that was denied to me, the anger I was taught to bury, and the fear I was meant to carry. This song is the sound of unlearning all of that. It’s rage, it’s release, and it’s me deciding I’m no longer shrinking out of anyone’s comfort.”
