  • Cognitive Tease Cover Of Slipknot’s “People = Shit”

Cognitive will be releasing a cover of Slipknot’s “People = Shit” on September 15. A teaser for that can be found below. The band commented:

“Here we go again mother fuckers! We have been hard at work writing our next album and prepping for tour but decided to spend some time having fun and recorded a cover of ‘People=Shit’ by the almighty Slipknot! We wanted to have fun with something that wasn’t exactly death metal, but still in the extreme realm! The world is an awful place, and humanity doesn’t make it any better, so to us the Slipknot math and song title added up correctly! We hope you enjoy and see you on the road with Nile, Cryptopsy, and The Last Ten Seconds Of Life.”

  • Perry Farrell Responds To Jane’s Addiction’s Lawsuit Against Him

As previously reported, Jane’s Addiction guitarist Dave Navarro, bassist Eric Avery, and drummer Stephen Perkins previously filed a lawsuit against singer Perry Farrell in response to an infamous 2024 incident in which Farrell attacked Navarro onstage. Farrell’s bandmates accused him of assault, battery, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract. However, the frontman has since denied the claims.

According to People, Farrell “denies each and every allegation in the complaint.” He also listed 35 affirmative defenses. Farrell claims Navarro wasn’t “damaged in any way or in any amount whatsoever” and that he has “unclean hands.” It went on to say that the guitarist “failed to exercise reasonable care and diligence to mitigate [the] alleged claims and damages.” For his part, the vocalist believes he acted in “good faith and without malice.” He is seeking to have the case dismissed and his legal fees covered.

Notably, Christopher Frost, an attorney for Navarro, Avery and Perkins, has since fired back. He said the following:

“Our lawsuit speaks for itself. So does the video. By responding in this way, Mr. Farrell is not taking any formal legal step to stop the litigation. This is consistent with the fact that they have taken no affirmative steps to advance their claims, whether serving discovery or otherwise, and it is consistent with the strength of the claims by Dave, Eric, and Stephen.”

This news comes after Farrell previously filed his own lawsuit against his bandmates.

  • Domination Inc. Sign With Seek And Strike, Premiere “A Pipey, A Tapster n’ A Rat” Video

Domination Inc. have signed a new deal with Seek And Strike. With this news, the band have also shared a new video for their new song “A Pipey, A Tapster n’ A Rat.”

    The group commented:

“We are super stoked to officially join forces with Seek and Strike! Having such a powerhouse label by our side fills us with energy and determination as we step into the next chapter. We’re so excited to finally be able to share our entire new album with all of you and we truly feel we have found our definitive sound on this effort.

This is just the beginning. Indignant youth needed a band, when the need for a movement is now more than ever. Being so sick of these very times, we do create unity within our music, destruction within the oppressors mind, eventually leading to dominance of our full of hate generation.

Our new focus single, ‘A Pipey, A Tapster n’ A Rat‘ is out now. This is a track that dives into the never-ending war within — the endless voices in your head, the traps you set for yourself, the fears you can’t silence. It’s you against yourself. Stream the video on Seek and Strike official YT channel. This is our soundtrack and everyone is invited!”
