  • Limp Bizkit’s Sam Rivers Reportedly Died After Falling In The Bathroom

More details have surfaced regarding the death of Limp Bizkit bassist Sam Rivers. According to TMZ, the person who made the 911 call found him in the bathroom face down in a pool of blood and started performing CPR before the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Department arrived. A deputy says they tried to perform CPR as well, but he was ultimately pronounced dead by the St. Johns County Fire Rescue. Rivers appeared to have suffered a cut over his eye after seemingly falling off the toilet. The musician’s face and neck were also dark blue, while the rest of his body was flushed. That appearance is common in cases involving pulmonary embolisms. The deputy also noted that a small amount of coagulated blood was discovered in the bathroom as well. A cause of death is still pending, but a previous report said Rivers was “nonresponsive” and “in cardiac arrest” when authorities received an “attended death” call. For those unaware, an “attended death” is for patients who are under medical care for serious or life-threatening illnesses that result in death. A post from his bandmate DJ Lethal also seemed to suggest that he was battling cancer.

  • Overkill To Begin Recording New Album Before The End Of 2025

During a recent appearance on the Metal Mayhem ROC podcast, Overkill singer Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth offered an update on the band’s new album. According to him, the group will begin the recording process before the year’s end.

    Ellsworth said the following:

“We’re demoed out. Jeramie Kling’s playing drums for us now. Jason Bittner moved on to other things… So we’re just moving along as if there is no issue with D.D. [following his shoulder surgery]”

    He also added:

“We’re going to start recording before the first of the year. We’ll get some stuff done, I’m sure just the drum tracks; we’re working on those as of right now. I’m just filling in the blanks with what the other dudes have done. And it’s kind of business as usual at this point. So, no big news to report as of this moment, but tomorrow you never know.”
