  • Mark Tremonti On New Creed Music: “I’ve Been Working Real Hard On Trying To Put Together New Ideas”

During a recent interview with Cutter’s Rockcast, Creed guitarist Mark Tremonti discussed the band’s plans for new music. He said the following:

“Yeah. When we did all this touring [over the course of the last couple of years], we were so busy that there was no way for us to really put new music together. And the tour was already on sale, so to jump off tour to record an album wouldn’t have been the right move. But now that we have all the time going forward, I think promoters and agents and managers are all, like, ‘All right, you gotta have something, a driver for the next tour. You can’t just go out and do the same thing. So there’s either gotta be some incredible package you put together or new music.’ So, I’ve been working real hard on trying to put together new ideas so I can get together with Scott [Stapp, CREED singer] and start working. But, it would probably have to be the middle of next year before we start doing that.”

  • Katatonia Release Cover Of KISS’ “A World Without Heroes”

Katatonia have released a new cover of KISS’ “A World Without Heroes.” You can check that out and Karin Park’s new remix of “Wind Of No Change” below. Katatonia frontman Jonas Renkse commented:

“A final single from the ’Nightmares…’ session, a cover of KISS’ ’A World Without Heroes’ which is one of the songs we usually listen to in the dressing room before going on stage. For us, it now also serves as a memory of Ace Frehley’s legacy. Nico’s rendition of his solo is nothing short of amazing! Also, this release includes Karin Park’s outstanding remix of ’Wind of No Change’. Enjoy, and come see us in Europe this fall/winter!”

When we began writing ‘Night Terror,’ it felt special to us on a personal level — so to see it resonate in this way is something we don’t take for granted. Thank you to the Recording Academy for this honor, and congratulations to all of the nominees this year.”
