Watch Guns N’ Roses, Screaming Trees, Foo Fighters, Etc. Members Cover Outlaw Country Classic “Highwayman”

Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses), Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees), Nate Mendel (Foo Fighters), Jefferson Angell (Walking Papers), Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie), Isaac Brock (Modest Mouse) and more recently covered “Highwayman” for KEXP’s 2020 SMooCH benefit for the Seattle Children’s Hospital. You can check that out in the below video at the 53:40 mark. The track was written by Jimmy Webb in 1977, before being covered by Glen Campbell in 1979 and The Highwaymen in 1985. The latter was a supergroup featuring Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Kris Kristofferson.

Alice In Chains Recruit Walking Papers To Open Their Spring Tour

Walking Papers have been added to Alice In Chains’ spring tour. You can see the dates for that run below. It is worth noting that Walking Papers will be performing without Duff McKagan (Guns N’ Roses, etc.) and Barrett Martin (ex-Screaming Trees, etc.) on this run. However, Jefferson Angell (The Missionary Position) and Benjamin Anderson (The Missionary Position) will be joined by Nate Daley (guitar), Dan Spalding (bass), Will Andrews (drums), and Gregor Lothian (saxophone).
