Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Flea has contributed bass lines to two previously unreleased tracks by Aleka’s Attic, the band that featured the late River Phoenix. Those songs will be release digitally and on 10-inch vinyl on August 23 via LaunchLeft, the artist alliance founded by River’s sister and bandmate Rain. [via Flood Magazine]

Lakeshore (ex-Emmure) have released a cover of Puddle Of Mudd’s “Blurry.” Ben Lionetti commented: “I had a few wild nights with Wes [Scantlin] while I was living in LA. When Jesse and Joe asked if I wanted to cover ‘Blurry‘, I thought cool dude, cool band, epic song. Hope y’all dig it.”
