Puddle Of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin Writes “Pump-You-Up” Song For Kansas City Chiefs

During a recent interview with Colorado’s 95 Rock, Puddle Of Mudd’s Wes Scantlin revealed that he recently wrote a “pump-you-up” song for the Kansas City Chiefs. He said the following about that:

“I’m getting ready to go down to the studio here with a really great producer and engineer. We’re gonna do three versions of a song I wrote with an awesome producer and engineer named Colin London. It’s an NFL pump-you-up-type song for the Kansas City Chiefs world champions. So I’m gonna go cut vocals for that. The musical composition has already been attained. And the vocal actual composition has already been attained as well, but the NFL and the Kansas City Chiefs organization want me to keep going and make enough different passes in the vocals. But it’s a well-rounded composition. I’m very proud of it and very happy to have been able to work with the people that I’ve been able to work with on it. So, we’ll see. You’ll hear it — you’re definitely gonna hear it on the NFL games and the Kansas City Chiefs games. And it’s really a pleasure and an honor to be able to actually be considered to do that. I’m very, very happy about that.”

Puddle Of Mudd Premiere “Go To Hell” Lyric Video

Puddle Of Mudd have premiered a lyric video for their song “Go To Hell.” This track is from the band’s latest album “Welcome To Galvania.”

Wes Scantlin commented:

“‘Go To Hell’ is a song about being between heaven and hell in your mind. Kind of like when the angel is on one shoulder and the devil is on the other. You turn to God to figure it all out for you and he will! It’s the crossroads in our life. We make a choice about which way we’re going.”

He went on to say that the track has taken on a new meaning following the death of his cousin Sean Scantlin:

“My cousin Sean battled demons for a long time and he lost the battle. I know he is in heaven taking care of me and living his best life! We will see each other one day! We all miss him! He was so young and full of life. So keep your loved ones close and never give up on them. Because no one gave up on me!”
